Just called to get sample rates with the Winter Dream Maker.

Arriving November 29 for 7 nights

GF Lagoon View - $2744 with tax
(works to 392 per night)
GF Lodge Tower Room - $2900.10 with tax
(works to 414.30 per night)

They didn't have any concierge rooms (even Sugar Loaf) for at least those nights.


If you were planning on UPH's anyway, it is a savings.

I got 2 prices for December 18 for 5 nights. 2 adults and 2 kids ages 5, 9.

Contemporary standard garden wing was $1942. I have a ressie with AAA for $1133 for 5 nights without passes. I was going to get 5 day hoppers which would cost about $800. Not a savings but it does add a day to park time for about the same $$$.

I asked about Poly and was quoted $2025. This however is a savings. I was quoted $1400 for a 5 night stay and with park passes $800 would be $2200. So I'm saving $175 and getting extra park time a bonus.

These prices were with the DC discount.

That includes insurance which if removed would take off $69.90. Prices also include tax.

Doesn't work out well for us as we already have and want WL for those dates and we only really need PHP passes for 6 days. So on our own were only spending $2279.40 for lodging and admissions using DC discount. Might work out well for some. Just thought I would share what I found out this morning!

She said that her computer was showing that is was good for All stars and Pop Centry. I told her that other peope were getting rates for Deluxe she then said that theu were using a different code. I told her it was the Winter Drean Package.

I then told her that I would call back.

CM told me to ask for code ZXMB for moderates and Deluxes...ZXMA applies only to the All-Stars. Good Luck!

WL Standard room - 2,323.08

Not a discount for us at all. I'm going to stick to room/park hopper tickets.

I called this morning at the crack of dawn (not yet awake) and forgot to apply my DC discount. Should I call back or is it too much of a hassle???
I was quoted $2302.47 for AKL savannah (with tax and no insurance) for 7 nights for 2 adults and a 7-yr-old (and free 1-year-old) for December 6-13.
It saves me a couple of hundred over government rate at Dolphin for balcony room with resort view and APs so I took it.

Didn't work for me!

The week of January 10th at the Contemprary Tower: all rooms are gone! I said, "two hours after the code came out?"...she said that other groups were given discounts on the tower rooms and they are taken. (In other words, no rooms at the tower were offered on this winter dream discount. I didn't ask about wing rooms, sorry! I was too shocked.) Hmmm....conventions, I'm sure....but Disney doesn't offer discounts for the marathoners (or 1/2 marathoners like me) at any resort, which I just think is crazy.....luckily my airfare is not booked yet so I may say forget you, Disney. Why spend the money when I feel the Mouse is being a pain??? Why do I have to jump through so many hoops just to get a discount on a room?? If Disney offers it, I will come.

Not a very good deal... 2 adults, 1 child, 1 junior for 7 nights Nov 29 - Dec 6 came out to $1888.86 with taxes and insurance.

We could just buy 7 day ph (with 4 pluses) and 7 nights at $77/nt and come out to $1707. So an extra day (or half day with travel) is definitely not worth $181.00 Also I doubt that time of year we'd use waterparks much.

We currently are planning to go in October with FTP which is $1545 but may have to reschedule due to an illness in family - that's why I called for price in Nov/Dec. These prices are yet another reason my mom better get better

I assumed with tax, since it was an odd amount, but maybe it's not included in that quote. This is also just the room and UPH tickets.

CM did say few standard rooms were left for package.

Just thought I'd share the price difference in our ressies. We had 2 WL standard view rooms with the Dream Maker packages for Jan 1-8, 2004. One room will have 3 adults, the other, 2 adults and 1 child. The packages were with basic rack rates, no discounts to my knowledge. By changing the dates to Jan. 2-9, we saved over 700.00 per room.

Just book AAA room only for $754.00 standard view 4 nights. DH has AP and DD has PHPP with 3 days left and pluses. That means that I wil have to get my pass.

I was quoted: for 2 adults, 1 junior and 1 child:

AKL Savannah View, 8 nights, 12/19 thru 12/27 : $2956.07 (without the insurance).

I already had the same room only at AAA of $2,084.80, plus I added on $1,493.13 that I saw on Disney's website for "advance purchase" UPH of 8 nights for 3 adults and 1 child. That would total $3,577.93. for a savings of $621.86!!

The problem is (and why I always say,"Nothing is EVER easy!!!), we were planning on staying until the 29th. The CM I spoke with checked for many minutes and came back and said that the package is flat out unavailable for 12/27 til whatever date it is in January. It didn't matter that I was checking in on the 19th of December. It was not available to me for my last 2 nights. If anyone finds out differently, please let me know. So, if we want to stay the last 2 nights, we will have to move to a different hotel (no way would I pay Holiday rack rate) and buy 1 or 2 days admission (we had originally planned on buying AP's).

I reserved the 8-night package, now I will have to do some hard thinking in the next couple of days.

So, apparently it CAN be a good deal, under the right circumstances.

I think Disney has just changed their policy re: rates remaining the same for your entire stay! Just checked on the website for over Thanksgiving and it states rates unavailable on 11/25-27th. so that would mean rack rate for those 3 days..NO WAY!! Hello Swan/Dolphin if that doesn't work its Universal for us. I can not justify those rates with so many options around. My DD are disappointed but understand. We will not return to WDW every year if we need to pay rack rates. I did it once for a "Once in a Lifetime trip."

We are 2 Adults, 2 Children and 1 two year old. We have FTP Nov 20 - 27. I needed somthing at the end of our stay from Nov 27 - Dec 2.

The CM I talked to was very nice. She suggested a Disney Club discounted room for the night of Nov 27th and then the new package for the 28th thru the 2nd. I was quoted 1402.04 at CBR without insurance. This price is for a disney club room one night and 4 nights with the new package. POR was not available

Right now I have 5 nights at POR for 593.20 with DC discount and If I were to buy 4 day park hoppers it would be 732.72 for a total of 1325.92. For me the package would be 76.12 more expensive.

I was told the DC discount is available, but it is code ZXGC!! It was about $50 off the price.

I don't have a dis club card so I asked about AAA discounts on the package, they told me no. If there were it'd make it much more appealing to me. Was anyone able to get a AAA discount on the package, if so did you need a code?
