I'm sure people know about the Winter Dream Maker package available. Through the Disney web site I was only able to find it with the Ultimate Park Hopper Tickets + room. However at www.Expedia.com they have "room only" winter dream maker package under the "deals" tab and click on the disney stuff. I personally think booking room and tickets seperate are better because I like Park Hoppers that unused days never expire *not* UPH's, I think they're a bad deal. Just FYI for everone else.

I believe Winter Dream maker is good from like Nov-Jan, but I know the last day to book the special rates is September 22. :earsgirl:

Hi-
Just checked out the Expedia site. They show the room price but when you click to make the reservations they automatically add in the UPH and I wasn't able to remove them.

TTFN!

Just checked this out - thanks for the tip.

It added the passes for me, too. :(

How do you get the ROOM only price at Expedia if they automatically put the UPH onto your bill???

The price shows the discounted room rate UNTIL you try booking the rate - at that point the UPH are added in.

TTFN!

I'm sorry I didn't clarify what I meant.

Is there a way to get the $55 rate without automatically having the UPH added on at the end? Just getting the room rate with no tickets.

No, you can't get a package rate for the room without buying the tickets. I'm pretty sure that's why it's called a package.

There does seem to be a discount on the UPH tickets, though. Booking for 2 adults with Expedia gives a total of $590.52 = ($55.00 + $8.84) x 3 + $399.00, where the $8.84 is taxes/fees and the $399.00 is 2 x $199.50, for the 4-day UPH's. It is definitely a savings if 4 days / 3 nights with UPH's is what you want.

Without the package, I think 2 adults would pay $701.82 = $77.00 x 1.12 x 3 + $221.55 x 2, where the 12% increase is tax and the $221.55 is a 4 day UPH. Caution: I'm just doing the arithmetic here; ask someone who knows the up-to-date story before making a decision.

Edit: try mousesavers.com for other discounts. :)

I'm sorry...I thought you could get the room without the tickets because the itinerary wasn't showing the ticket charge and I hadn't hit "book it" yet.

actually, we got about $300 less for the same going through mouseearvacations.com

the way expedia does this is horribly decieving....

Hi can I ask about your package, what did you get with your vacation. did you get passes and resort. I am thinking of taking my son and as am looking to for cheap. I like the Winter Dream Maker package it is a good price that I can see of.

how many days are you going to be at WDW? and when are you going?

Thanks in advance:D

I, too, got pretty annoyed about this. I saw the Expedia rate, planned on using it, and then decided to book my stay.....and then BLAM..........UPH's included. Bad business IMO.
