Winter coats when it’s bitter cold when leaving

I changed my mind. I'm bringing my coat with me on the plane today instead of checking it. I have a connection in Minneapolis on the way there and Detroit on the way back. I'm going to want my coat if anything goes wrong in either place.

We wear lightweight packable down jackets, they fold up really small into tiny pouches. We pack up our jackets once we are inside the airport.

I have the same type coat. Well worth the money I take it lots of places.

That is a heat wave for those of us in the midwest. Right now we are at -3 with a feels like -11.
