 Like any good WDW trip budget-teer and deal seeker, I have been periodically checking Alamo and National to see if their rates have dropped for our vacation since booking in November. So far I've cancelled and rebooked three different times, dropping by 10-12 bucks each time. We have Entertainment Book coupons for both. Yesterday when I went to check again the price had dropped another $14 bucks for a midsize! :cheer2: So then I checked for what it would be for a full size and the price was only 3 bucks more!!!! We drove a Monte Carlo with a sun roof last year and just loved it. With this deal, I was paying less for 8 days than I did last year for 4 2/3 days. In my experience, National has always been slightly or way more higher than Alamo, but tonight I decided to check National on a whim...and what a good whim that was...for an intermediate which is equivilent to Alamo's fullsize, I was able to knock the price off $15 more bucks!!! :Pinkbounc :bounce: For once, I'm winning with this game!!!!

So if you are planning to go to WDW the first two weeks of June, which is what I've been checking, and you have an Entertainment book coupon, you just might get a great deal like me!!!!

What is your rate for that period of time, if you don't mind my asking?

I reserved with Nat'l and rebooked 5 times and got it down to $144.90 (all fees included) for 9 days in October. I'm glad I reserved so early because the rates keep going UP every time I've checked within the past couple of weeks. The base rate I got for 1 wk. is $110. This morning it is $199.

I got $116 for a standard car at National for 8 days with my $20 off 5 days or more Entertainment coupon. I also got a 5 day full size through Alamo for our October Long Beach trip which will include Disneyland. Not sure if we actually need a car for that trip, but the rate was $86 so I reserved it until we decide for sure.

I might be wrong here, but I thought National was bought out by Alamo, at least at Orlando airport. I too check rates weekly starting weeks before my trip and the price keeps going down.

I have cancelled and rebooked with alamo 4 times now. Started out 360.00 for 8 days now got it to 247.00 for a full size car. We got 68 days to go maybe it will lower even more! That would be nice :teeth:

happy with my rate from national ....for 8 days with tax, fees included and a full size car rate is only $142.31.....

can't beat that....

I am estatic

Mini I'm jealous I want your rate! I'm going to national right now to see what they got. Thanks :Pinkbounc

They are owned by the same parent company but operate separately.

I've changed my National May reservation 5 times. It's now $109 for a full size, May 7 to 13, Priceless code, $20 Entertainment Coupon. Originally $151 for an intermediate.
