Winning a Major Prize at Universal Studios Palace Arcade! (video)

If you have kids who love arcades then they might want to stop by the Palace Arcade at Universal especially if they love claw machines.

My kids love these things and we usually allow them to choose between a souvenir for the day or play in the arcade. The kids are smart and each day one would choose the arcade and then share tokens with her sister. This way they got the best of both worlds. They both got to play in the Arcade and still got a souvenir the next day.

Well this time it paid off big time. My oldest loves a game called stacker and she was able to hit the MAJOR PRIZE. A $200 pair of Beats Headphones!

We had just finished riding Jimmy Fallon so our energy levels were VERY high. This just cemented what I know will be something we will talk about as a family for a long long time.

Totally agree! I am glad this happened while on a family vacation and in such a great setting like Universal Studios. I now have to deal with the fact that I use $5 Walmart ear buds and my 8 year old now has $200 Beats!

Your are correct. Those claw machines have a pay out rate. It means they won't grip hard enough to pay out until a certain number of plays. That is why we don't like those. That stacker game is the same way. You can get the minor prize all on skill, but the major prize won't pay off until a certain number of plays. It really is about having fun with the family and that is why we hop around a lot.

I wouldn't pay $200 for them, but I would take them over my ear buds any day. They are nice and comfy and do sound great, but not $200 great!

Thank you so much! This made my day. We are having so much fun with our family channel. We decided to keep the vacation going when we got off the cruise and went to Universal. I am glad we did. We had an awesome trip.
