Winnie the Pooh motion issues? Perfumes, smoke?

Hi all - I'm wondering if Winnie the Pooh is a ride we can do. I don't see anywhere about what the motion of the ride is like. Is it smooth, rough, etc? I see something about bouncing and going through water, but I'm not sure if that impacts your ride car? Is there any spinning?

Also, is there smoke and pumped in fragrances? Are they extreme or light?

I'm checking on these things for neck and back pain, dizziness and some allergies - especially to stronger scents and smoke.

I don't recall any smoke or fragrance in Winnie the Pooh. The ride itself is extremely gentle, although there are two parts where the car moves - one to simulate "bouncing" with Tigger, the other to simulate riding in a flood toward the end of the ride. I'd put it on a par with the sweeping motion of Peter Pan's Flight, well below any rough motion like you'd find on Goofy's Barnstormer, etc. The car moves slightly up and down - if you were a toddler, you would think "Wheee! I'm bouncing!!!" but I think most adults would find it very mild. There's definitely no spinning or fast motion.

There is a scene in the "Heffalumps" part that always makes me glad I don't have any kind of disorder that's triggered by lights or motion - the scene is painted in bright colors and parts of it twirl quickly. Again, it's very mild.

Hope this helps - we love Pooh, and always ride it as a family - and we are 12, 17 and 48 years old!!!!

When you say bouncing - are you just rising up and down, or would you say there is any kind of landing with a jolt - even gentle? When you are going through the water is the ride car moved in any way to simulate water waves? Thanks so much for your help!

Also do you remember any fragrances?

they allegedly do pump in a honey scent into the gift shop area -which the ride deposits u into as u directly exit the ride, but we just got back and I mentioned it to friends who we were with and none of us could smell it, we tried!!! The tigger bounce isnt frightening for most kids, its a very friendly bounce scene but its "herky jerky jarring motion" in back pain lingo........The water-flood scene doesnt make u feel weird, its just like a flat escalator moving u along a track nothing crazy at all HTH

I've been on Winnie the Pooh many times.
It does not have any fragrance that I have ever noticed (I can't think of any of the scenes that would have any particular fragrance that would go with that scene).
The bouncing part is pretty gentle. It is rising up and down, but I would not call it a jolting bounce. The water is also a very gentle motion. It does move up and down, but it's kind of a gentle bobbing, not really waves. I can tell you that my oldest DD's fiancee has motion sickness and did not have any problems on this ride.
I don't know if this is available in any other cars, but I know that the ride car that is made to hold wheelchairs can have the 'bouncing' turned off. It might be worth asking the CM if there is any possibility of doing this in other cars (the special wheelchair car has only one seat and the rest of the space is for a wheelchair to fit).

Just stumbled on this thread by accident and I would point out that one of the heffalumps does blow a smoke ring which dissapates over some riders heads (it puffs about every 2 cars so the front riders in the first car might get a minor puff). There is no smell that I can recall (and I had a 3 yr old drag me on this ride about 5x a day for a week )

Also, quite often the smoke ring doesn't function at all (and at the same ride in DL there is no smoke ring at all)

It's pretty gentle. I don't think it would cause a problem.
Also, Disney is pretty careful about giving warnings for people with back and neck problems for rides that might possibly cause a problem. This attraction doesn't have any warnings.

If you are still worried about it, you could ask the CM at the ride entrance if it would be possible for someone else in your party to ride first and decide if it is safe for you to ride.

You know, there is so much going on in that heffalump room that I never have noticed if there were any smoke rings.
