The official Walt Disney World website has updated its operational calendar to include a closure for The Many Adventures of Winnie-the-Pooh in Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom from October 25 through November 14.

Whew, we just made it. I like this little ride. I wonder what they are doing with it - just maintenance?

I had read previously the front of the ride was going to be re-themed to fit in with the Fantasyland expansion? It might be that :confused3

Possible. Funny there weren't threads on the Theme Parks board last night about this. Closures usually generate a widespread protest  - unless I missed them.

phew when i read that i though it was going to be closed when we are there but its not. :cool1:

I know its a pretty kiddy ride but i love it, even DH loves it.

Still not sure how DH is going to cope with star tours being closed when we are there.

I don't think my hubby would cope with another ride closer on one of his fav rides, so glad we go before these dates. We miss out on Star tours, and its a small world this year.

I think they are trying to stagger the closures. There are more than usual this year with the construction, but I think they are trying to be practical about it. We should be okay. I don't mind too much if something is closed if it is open for part of our stay so we have an opportunity. Thankfully us Brits go for longer so we often manage to work it in our favour. Imagine if we did 5 day trips :scared1:

Boo ! Will be shut when we go. At least IASW will have reopened :thumbsup2

Aw glad that we will get this, dd is already gutted about missing IASW and she would be devasted if she missed winnie the pooh ride too

That was my first reaction as I started reading about WTP. I just thought, OH NO!!! Note to self: finish reading before reacting. :lmao:

Thanks 2Tiggies; we're at MK on 19th & 30th Oct so we'll be OK on 2nd visit,:goodvibes

Gutted about IASW, I firmly believe that this is one of the 1st rides where you sit and say to yourself " YES I am definatley in Disney "

DH isn't to keen though, miserable so and so:sad2:
