Is Winnie the Pooh always there? We have a little girl with ASD, obsessed with ASD, and her one wish is to meet Winnie the Pooh. I thought we might be able to do the breakfast, to save having to wait in line so long, but if there's a chance he isn't there, it would pretty much be a disaster.

Side note: how long is the line to meet Winnie normally at MK?

He's almost always there, but you won't get a guarantee.

We've met Winnie as he roams the tables at 1900 and that wait could be quite a while until he gets to you. We've met him after the breakfast on the way out to take a picture outside of the restaurant, as there is always one character poised there for Photopass pics (but not always the same character). At Crystal Palace, he is almost certain to be there, but again, how long it takes for him to get to your table is undeterminable. The line for him by his ride has not typically been 'short' from my experience. I'm telling you all this so that you can make an informed decision about what's best for your daughter. My son is autistic and I know that the more information you have, the (potentially) better it goes.

Agree with PPs that if you want a much increased chance, I'd book Crystal Palace. In the possible (though not necessarily likely) event that they are short of Friends of Pooh one day, Pooh will be sent to Crystal Palace first.

My one time I ate at 1900 Park Fare for breakfast (this was years ago, but it could happen again), Pooh was not there that day and we had Eeyore. Alice did a very good job of explaining to a child sitting close to me that "Pooh was feeling poorly today, so his friend Eeyore said that he would come and greet everyone and Pooh could rest." That child was ok with that, but if yours will go into meltdown, I'd go with Crystal Palace.
