Winners! Post your recent contest wins!

My partner won a $100 eBay gift certificate the other day. Now we just need to think of something to spend it on!

I usually don't win anything but in the past month I have won a PS3 with 2 wireless controllers (which I sold because we have a Wii and one system is enough for our family) and a gift basket from our local CVS photo lab (it was a raffle to raise money for a charity) in the basked was a alarm clock with a digital pic frame, disposable camera, photo album, 2 coupons (1 for an enlargement and 1 for a photo book) and a photo cube. Aren't these things supposed to happen in 3's, come on winning lottery ticket!:lmao:

On April 29th, I got an email saying that I won an Earth prize pack including an Earth themed canvas bag and coffee tumbler, as well as a bamboo blanket and a tree seedling to plant in celebration of Earth, the first film by DisneyNature.

I just got it in the mail this Friday!!! I was supper excited to win this, as I never win anything! But now I can't say that anymore! LOL:goodvibes:cool1::thumbsup2:banana:

I won a pasta dinner basket at a gift auction. The basket had 4 different kinds of pasta, tomato paste, olive oil, Italian spices, plastic wine glasses & grape juice, breadsticks, some tea, some cocoa, & like a parmesan cheese.

Funny part is...I can't eat wheat or milk products so I traded for a kitchen basket with dishtowels, sponges, gloves, a tablecloth & soap.

Here is the real kicker...On the bottom of our winning basket, there was a number. The number coresponded to another prize! An all inclusive trip to Bermuda. The pasta dinner basket's number was the winning number! The basket I traded. Oh well! At least I won't have dishpan hands! :rotfl:

My DH is the lucky one in this family - He's won tickets to:

Seinfeld
Blue Man Group
Larry the Cable Guy
Jeff Foxworthy
BB King
Jonny Lang
David Spade (we sold those)
Passes for the amusement park at Mall of America
Plus other things that I can't remember right now.

We joke that the only way we get a date night is by him winning stuff off the radio.

Plus lots of gift certificates to restaurants, a computer monitor, an air compressor, shocks for his Jeep...

Our DS won lunch with our city's fire chief at a school raffle last month. (He insisted on putting all his tickets in this bucket, which found funny because the fire chief is a friend of ours - we eat dinner with him every Wednesday night, we've gone to the Wisconsin Dells with him, his family, and other friends the last two years, and we're going to Disney with him, his family, and other friends in August - how many kids at his school can say they're going to Disney with the fire chief?!)

I used to be lucky, winning tickets to a few concerts and Stomp, but my lucky streak dried up a few years ago. I finally won something last month - a free night's stay at any Hyatt. Guess where we're staying the night before we fly out?! PERFECT!

I'm the lucky one in the family too. I haven't won anything lately though! In the past I've won a WDW trip, a PA trip and all sorts of other things. The most recent thing I've won is Bingo at our resort in FL last week...I got a picture frame and an ice scraper :rotfl:

When I was a kid my mom used to always win contests she entered (on paper). The ones I remember were a swingset, a small sailboat, and tickets to the circus. Since then her contest luck has disappeared:sad2:

You know how you do the "instant win" sweepstakes online? And always get the "SORRY - TRY AGAIN" notice? Up until this morning - that had been my luck! Today - I won - TWICE! I won a month's worth of Dole Gel Cups (to be issued as 4 coupons for free product) - and I won a kids' movie ticket to Monsters & Aliens from Kids Cuisine (I read the fine print and found that the ticket can be used for any G or PG movie.) I was pretty excited! Of course, you have your eye on the bigger prizes, but the little ones are cool too!

Happy "Sweeping" Everyone!

Good Luck and :wizard:

Add another win to the list. Won an "Elmo Turns Green" DVD via a local Parnet magazine. It was an Earth Day promo thing. My son loves it.

Is 'sweeping' similar to the parents on Wife Swap who entered every contest imigeable? They were spending money on postage though... I have never heard of this on-line...

The only thing I have ever won was 4 tickets to Disney's Playhouse Live.....we surprised the kids and it gave us our Disney fix in between vacations to the World. :thumbsup2

I never win anything...then yesterday I get a convo in my etsy account. A seller chose me to pick anything from her shop as a mother's day giveaway she was doing. So I'm get a free handmade magnet board with fabric of my choice. I think she sells them in her shop for around $17. I know it isn't much, but it really touched me and like I said before I never win anything!

That couple (mom and dad fanatics on wife swap) are members on the OLS site. They also do snail mails and make their kids spend their sundays picking up bottlecaps.

My son, who wants an electric guitar, will sit and enter a bunch of kid only contests once a month, if I enter the same about of electric guitar contests. That is about as crazy as I get. I only enter when my chores and work are finished and I have a few minutes- I never win snail mail - so I gave up on them a while ago when the stamps went up. It is a hobby - for me, over the years I have won some nice things, mostly small. There are people that live,e at and drink sweepstakes - online and snails, they enter everything local, radio stations - and they win multiple cars, cash, trips, --- one lady won 3 10k prizes last year and then a car. THATS LUCK on top of determination!

I am in awe of people like that.

There is a simple rule to winning. You must enter.
Most people say to me "I never win anything, you are lucky." - then I ask, what have you entered? most of the time its one or two contests entered once or twice... try 100-200 contests entered every week (or day) - you will win something, even if its just toilet bowl cleaner or cheese :)

I won tickets to a party with a local radio station. While there DH won tickets to the Red Sox for July 4th! He is taking DS8 who is very excited.

Two weeks ago I won a gift certificate for $185 worth of mail order lobster. :cool1:

One of our local grocery stores, Harris Teeter, started a "free groceries" promotion today. Every 400th shopper gets their order for free. I was the third person at my store to win -- too bad I had only bought $25.79. Got that returned in cash plus a $10 coupon on my next order b/c I'm registered for its online program.

I won tickets (radio station) to see The Mousetrap at our local art theatre.

I don't know if it's considered *winning* but my box of Golden Grahams (total pregnant craving, btw) had a $10 Discover card in it!

I felt like a winner and told DH that was further proof I should listen to my cravings!

Back in December, I won a $1,000 shopping spree to Patriot Place (a new shopping center near my house.) That's the biggest thing I'd ever won. It took me about a month to spend it. Much of it was spent at the shoe store where I work (40% discount) and at Circuit City during their liquidation, so I was able to make it go further than other people might have. We also went out for a nice dinner at one of the restaurants there - $100 meal.
