I don't think your question has been answered yet. I don't know about the NEW Publix everyone is talking about, but there is an ABC liquors (I believe it's ABC, but it is a liquor store anyway) across the street from the Publix located on 192. It's right next to Walgreens and it is on 192. We have found it to be a teeny bit pricy, but not bad, and at least you can pick something up for the room.

We have been shopping at that Publix for all our trips for the past 6 or 7 years and we find the prices reasonable and the food fresh. We checked out Goodings but I think it's in a high tourist area, and the prices are adjusted accordingly (UP-lol)

we were just there did go to the new publix it was really nice and prices were better then gooding, also went to the winn-dixie because we always stop at the ABC store and saw the winn dixie then so we went in if it opened the 27 we were there the 30 so maybe that is why it was so clean and the selections were nice they also have self check-outs and also actual cashiers our stores around here are starting the self checkout

I'm hoping someone can give me specific directions to the Publix (or whichever market is 'on the way') - I will be coming from Universal and heading to BWV - early (about 6:30 AM)! on a Sunday morning - are they open 24 hours? - thanks to anyone who can help me not get lost!

To get to the Publix on Sand Lake Rd. from universal....go down either International Drive or I4 and take Sand Lake Rd....that would be a right from Int. Drive, or west? from I4. The Publix is right around Dr. Philips Blvd on the left. There is also an Albertsons in the plaza on the right. Then you can just hop back on I4 to get to WDW

This page hasn't been updated since September of 2001, but it does list the hours, locations, phone numbers, websites and a price comparison of many of the local stores. Obviously, it's missing the new Winn-Dixie, but it should help with your 24-hour question.
