:thumbsup2 Okay, that is by far the funniest thing I have seen in a while!!!! :rotfl2: You are quite clever dear winkers!!!! :goodvibes

Hi Winkers - I just read your last two installments. I love that picture of you and Bailey as well. She looks a lot like you, but don't tell her (I hated when people said I looked like my mom when I was younger), very pretty little girl. I also love Teppan Edo and took my boys when they were 5 and almost 3 and they loved it. A Japanese steakhouse with hibichi (that's definately spelled wrong) just opened near our house and the kids love it (although DD2 was a little afriad when the onion went up in flames). It's on the expensive side for us so we only went once but I told DS7 that we can go next friday for a back to school dinner (I take them out to eat every year), he's very excited and I can't wait either. I hear ya on getting sad when you think about no more Disney. I say go to Disney when the kids are younger, so can always go back my yourselves too when they get older. We do Disney every 4-5 years and take other trips in between. 2009 is our year to go and I can't wait. I'm already planning the next one (2013) in my head :lmao:.

I only want to go to Disney! I have been to France, Austria, Gemany. Italy Switzerland Spain, Yugogoslavia , Canada and of course England! In the US I have been to Gettysburg, Lancaster, Erie, Soth Carolina , Georgia, Texas . Arizona, Washington DC New England etc etc soooo Disneyis the only place I want to go and I plan to go every year!! I like a solo trip each year and an occasional group trip !!DD thinks I should go other places but I don't !!

Cherie, I am the exact same way! There are lots of places that I want to go, but when it comes time to make decisions, I just can't bring myself to not go to Disney!
I had a long discussion with myself today while I was mowing the lawn......I'm still as confused!

But I say that if everyone's heart really is at Disney then that's where you should go...every year if you want.
I haven't even asked the kids yet!

I agree. I would sit down with the family and give them all the vacation options. Vote on it. If everybody agrees to Disney, then you should go. If not,:scared1: , you will have a great time no matter where you go.
First I need to decide what the options are. I give the kids alot of say on things, but I don't usualy when it comes to vacations.

thanks.:flower3:

What month are you going?

I have been to France, Austria, Gemany. Italy Switzerland Spain, Yugogoslavia , Canada and of course England!!!

If I could go there, I'd definatley choose that over Disney~

Yes but you have to remember that they are a whole lot closer to England than the US is. France is a short boat ride( a very rough one but short) and I went to all those European places before I was 24!!So how about an update Cherie !!

I already did one this week!;)

I wish I had that many exciting places close by! All I have is Oregon and Idaho.:confused3

There are a lot of great things to do around Disneyland - could be lots of fun, if you can survive the road trip! You really only need 3 days if you get to the park at rope drop every day - that leaves you extra time for other things. You'll save alot on airfare for that many, so your vacation budget would be more flexible! :thumbsup2

Hollywood is fun in the daytime - you might even be able to get tickets to Wicked - really worth it!

Head to the Beach and check out he surf shops

Medieval Times is great here - FL, not so much.

There's a Pirate dinner show that sounds like fun, too.

There's baseball at Anaheim stadium for 10 or 11 a ticket.

US is great in CA too - I don't like US in FL. US is also near Dodger Stadium, so more baseball - just don't run out of gas there.

Sea World is a 1 1/2 hr drive

We almost always take time to play laser tag and mini golf at Camelot Pizza in Anaheim.

There's Speed Zone, where you can drive real dragsters and go carts and play lots of video games.

There are a couple of great water parks in the area.

Are you sold yet? ;)

I'm sorry I can't be of much help to you, Winkers. I will say that thinking while mowing is a big no, no. Mowing is my form of meditation for me. Down, back, around the tree, back, watch the mole hill, back. It is good sometimes to not have to think.

I'm in the same boat. There are so many great things and places to experience in this country alone. Every time we go somewhere I end up saying the same thing, "Let's do it again!" However, I want to be able to retire from working before I'm 75 years old too. I've decided to do our big trips every other year. That means we have about 19 trips left.

My best advise is to play the lottery. That's what I do.:rotfl:

Awwww, Jordan was such a gentleman going to the women's restroom with you!!:lmao:

After our yummy dinner in Japan we headed back to the resort. The kids swam while I did laundry. Fun times. Actually It was kinda nice.......I sat on the porch and read Twilight while the clothes were going and the kids were playing in the pool and watching the movie that they show every night at the pool.

Friday morning came and I was EX-CIT-ED!!! It was the morning of the Pirate & Princess party.........plus....we had early ADR's for Crystal Palace. There are several reasons I was excited for this adr..................
1- I love winnie the pooh!
2- all you can eat breakfast buffet
3- getting to meet the characters without standing in a line for 20 minutes
4- and the most important.....Butt Free Mainstreet!

What do I mean by butt free you ask? Well, when you get an adr before park opening you get into the park......before the horde! There by giving you the ability to take shots on mainstreet, and most importantly infront of the castle without strangers butts in your shot.

Our adr was for 8:15, so we were at the bus stop and on the bus by 7:45. we got so excited when we saw this......................
100_4621.jpg

We were let into the park at 7:55.......20 minutes to play around before our adr! No, it doesn't take much to excite me!

Now without further adieu..........I give you winker's family and a butt free mainstreet...the photo essay...............

Up next.....Pooh for breakfast!

I loved the update. I can't wait for the next post. My favorite is the picture of you on Goofy's lap. I also like the one of Goofy holding flat Jordan.
Speaking of Jordan I was so sad that they closed his trip report. I am worried that he won't come back.

I am just sitting here worried that Gustav doesn't decide to come visit Louisiana.

I am waiting patiently for your next post.
