I'm a newbie to wine drinking - tho. I have taken a couple of classes (one night things) to get my feet wet. So, for those of you that have tasted the wines at the F & W booths this year, what wines should I not miss?

If you like sweeter wines, several of the booths have variations of Rieslings. Sampling them all was a great way to taste the subtle differences in Rieslings. There is an Ice wine in Canada also that's a little pricey, but it's supposed to be worth every penny.

Enjoy!

You may also want to check out the free wine tasting seminars. They have several scheduled each day from some well known vineyards. In the past I have attended one from Silverado, one on various Sauvignon Blancs and one on German wines. The seminars were excellent and very informative. Each seminar allowed you to taste several wines and provided crackers and water to cleanse your palate. This is a great way to try out new wines ( and it's free!)

I enjoyed sampling many of the red wines there earlier this week. :tilt: The "bull's blood" I believe from Eastern Europe is very good - mild. Also enjoyed the merlot from Scandanavia. I posted this on another thread, but if you don't like cough syrup stay away from the cherry wine at Poland. :crazy2: The food there is great, though.

Anyone try the wines at the Valencia/Spain booth? Specifically the reds.
