Wine with DDP...any thoughts?

For me, the con would be the price. While there last week I checked some menus for bottles of wine prices. Seemed like the average was about $35 to $40 a bottle (well, where I checked anyway). The most expensive bottle was $45. And it is my understanding that if you use the wine credits at signature restaurants, it will use 2 wine credits. Not much savings IMHO, but then I am pretty frugal!

I hope others can shed more light on the wine question!

I thought about it, but decided against it until we know more (which won't be in time for my next trip). It will be interesting to see if there is any real advantage to the plan over just buying wine OOP, but until we know what the selection will be like, I'll stick to by-the-glass wines.

Even if it turns out to be a decent value, I'm not sure I'd want a bottle of wine with dinner. I tend to prefer pairings with each course, and since DH is more choosy than I am about what wines he enjoys, settling on a bottle we'd both enjoy could be somewhat limiting. LOL
