OK, here I am asking a totally fluff question!

DH and I have been invited to attend a political fund raiser. It is a Wine Tasting at a local country club. I have been to many a fund raiser but never to a wine tasting.

What to wear? I have no clue!! It is on Friday night from 6:30 - 8:00 pm.

Has anyone ever been to one?

Wishing everyone a "magical" day!!

No belts, difficult buttons or zippers on whatever types of pants you wear. :teeth:

I never wear anything special to a wine tasting. But then this is also a political fund raising, so I'd assume professional attire will be OK? Like shirt / pants... whatever you'd wear to work. Or maybe a cocktail dress because it's at nite at a country club.

If it is at 6:30, many people are going to be coming directly from their offices. I'd say Dressy Business appropriate.

I've been to a few and it's more fun for me to dress up a bit. However, you'll be doing alot of standing and "milling" about, so now is not the time to wear a pair of shoes that will torture your feet.
Black and white, gold/silver and white are some color combinations to consider.

I'd avoid any dangle bracelets as well. Just a nice watch or tennis bracelet that doesn't make jangling noises.

Wine tastings can be such fun. Have a wonderful time!:smooth:

Does it matter after a few drinks who will notice!!:drinking1 :jumping1:

Wear something you don't mind spilling a little wine on ;)

"Now I asks ya, do you think the grape will care what the **** the person that drank it was wearing?"

Sorry! Its been a giddy day!!!

A dress like Julia Roberts wore for the Polo in Pretty Woman. Classy.

Can I go?

I've worked lots of wine tastings, although none of them political fundraisers.

I'd say dressy-business is about right. I also agree with the no dangly bracelets. And I highly recommend not wearing white. For me white & wine tasting = instant red wine stain!
