I am sure that this has been asked before....but can somebody answer again?

If we get the Wine Package and don't drink all the bottles allotted, can we take them off the ship? It is just my Dh and I and I don't know if we can drink a bottle of wine everynight (although certainly will try!)

Yep, you can take them home, if you don't drink them all.

Although..most of them can be found at sams and costco, or your finer wine stores..so, you may just want to purchase the wines by the glass and skip the expense of the package.

Enjoy!

Can you buy a bottle of wine at dinner and then if you don't drink it all, save some for the next night? Or, can you carry an open bottle of wine around the ship? Does anybody know what the avg. cost for a bottle on board is??

That was my favorite part about the wine -

My DH does not drink wine - So I would order a bottle - I would have a glass (or two) and the servers keep the bottle for you and bring it to you the following night -

This is what makes cruising so awesome. I drink white, DH drinks red. We did not do the wine package bc as another poster mentioned, you can get the wines on that list anywhere (even the premium list). On the cruise, we wanted to splurge and since we knew it would be stored properly for us, we decided to go more high-end. We ended up buying 3 bottles of white and 2 of red (yeah, I'm the lush), and spent about the same the wine package even though we had better wines! My whites were cheaper than DH's reds, cuz I loved the Sancerre they had and it was not terribly pricey. We also loved the Fess Parker Chardonnay and (OT), bc I loved it so, we're going to stay at the Fess Parker winery next week. My recollection is that the wines ranged from $30 to way on up. The most expensive we ordered was $70.

I believe you can have the wine back in your room but we never did this. We brought some with us that we kept in the fridge.

I would have a glass or two with dinner, then bring it back to my room for Happy Hour the next day! Great for wine drinkers!

Does anyone have the individual and package price list for the wines?

We decided to order wine by the bottle. Each lasted us 2 meals, and then we ordered Champagne for New Years Eve also. So ended up buying 4 bottles total for a lot less than the cheapest package.
We also did the wine tasting for an extra $12 a person. We loved the Fess Parker too. (or Fess PACKER as it was listed on the wine list due to a typo)

We also bought the kids each a bottle of Martinelli's sparkling cider for New Years Eve. THAT had the highest markup of anything we bought, $18 a bottle!!! At home around the holidays it's usually on sale for $1.75, regular price is $2.50. I expected stuff off the wine list to be triple the store cost, not six times the store cost. The wines did seem to be only about triple price, but they sure hit the kids with the Martinelli's price.

the wine list has been updated,

on our 4/8 3 night cruise DCL has changed to a newly printed wine package flyer. However the wines are the same, and the prices are too.

The FAQ says, that you can carry up to 2 bottles of wine off the ship.
