I love wine, red or white. I don't like to spend more than 10 a bottle except for special occasions, though. Right now my favorite is called Menage a Trois, it's a blend of reds and costs about 10 at Costco.

I love a nice red... I go mostly for shiraz, merlot, cabernet sauvignons. DH prefers chardonnays.

I'm with you- I generally keep a variety of around $10 bottles on hand. I'm having a glass of Barefoot Merlot now!

I'm having my Menage, my flavor du jour. And also Target carries a brand called Middle Sister which is really good.

I like the prices referenced earlier and I'm onboard with any discussion of wine. I also like red and white wines. My favorites at the moment is the wonderful sparkling rose and prosecco I found at Trader Joes. Bring on the bubbly.:thumbsup2

I like dry wines, red or white. Funny story: I was in the liquor section of the supermarket yesterday looking for a slightly fruity, light wine to go with the orange roughy I was planning to cook. A cute young man came up to me asked me if I could recommend a "sweet chick wine" :lmao:. I don't drink sweet wines and I don't drink "chick" wines, so I was at a loss. I recommended a Riesling. I hope the girlfriend liked it!

PS: I ended up with a Bonny Doon Dry Riesling, which is still a little bit sweet. I usually save it for a spicy dish, but it worked with the orange roughy too.

I bought the pink and white blends yesterday.

I'm a wine lover too. I have to stick to white or rose though. One glass of red and :headache:

:thumbsup2 I prefer the reds myself. I LOVE the Barefoot Merlot (a bottle is chilling...slightly....right now;)) And to perpetuate my redneck WV status....I also enjoy the "Black Box" Cabernet sauvignon~it stays fresh "Forever":goodvibes Wine in a box...so I have something to throw up in when I'm done:lmao: Was that Larry the Cable guy???

I only do whites. Can't do reds- migraines.

My current fave is a sparkling white. J. Roget'. Had it at a wedding a few years ago. It is REALLY cheap and I love it.

Has anyone been to a wine tasting seminar or had one of the wine flights at at a WDW table service restaurant?

I saw that wine there too and chuckled at the name. I am not much for reds but if thats all there is I will drink it. I like some kind of vouvrey not even sure what kind it is but it is a white and that is part of the name. I first tried it at a wine tasting fundraiser at my sons school and fell in love with it. I am out right now but will pick some up.

Oh I am not above wine im a box either. I get the sunset blush franzia. No messing around with opening bottles. I like that in a big tumbler for when I really want to feel good. Haven't done that in a while but every once in awhile I get on a kick.

Oh and does anyone else think the 2 buck chuck has gone downhill? I used to drink that all the time but the last bottles I got I had to take back they were just bad.

No but I'd love to. I've also lived very near the niagara area for most of my life but never got to visit the wineries. Hey maybe we need a winery meet somewhere. :thumbsup2

I'll drink any wine you put in front of me, but I've been on a dry white kick for the past year and a half.

I cannot say enough about Bohemian Highway's chardonnay. It retails for $8-9 normally and has a lovely, smooth, buttery flavor.

We have the "Wine and Jazz Festival" here in Morgantown, WV every September:thumbsup2 Great music and wonderful local wines:goodvibes

Is this wine oakly as well? I love a good buttery and oakey Chardonnay but they are hard to find below $20.

I also love dry reds. Of course they give me migraines but I take a goody powder prior to drinking reds and I am fine.

Two buck Chuck is three bucks and change where I live. I've not had it in a because the last time I drank some of the chardonnay, I found it was too sweet.

Thanks for this tip. I really like buttery chardonnays and I don't know this label. I will look for it.
