Wine Lovers...red or white? Favorite?

Right now my favorite is Cooper & Thief red blend.
I will check it out! We have a huge wine and liquor store near me and it is so fun browsing the aisles and trying new wines. Thanks for the suggestion!

Depends on the season. Winter I tend to go toward reds or roses, I love me a cheap Spanish tempranillo. In the summer, I like a white, currently I'm into Reislings. Back in the day I liked liebfraumilch and spent many a nigh flying with the Little Blue Nun but she's hard to find now. If I'm not drinking reisling, I tend to go usually go with something from Kendall Jackson. I used to belong to a local wine club where you got 3 bottles a month, usually 2 reds and a white but I'm the only one who drinks wine in my house and ended up with over 100 bottles so I had to quit the club until I could drink some of it down. We get mostly French and German wines from that.

I can’t have red. I have a sulfa allergy.

I like Pinot Grigio. I go to a local wine bar that has tastings m. I usually go towards wines similar to Pinot. I’m more of a vodka or rum person but I’m starting to get more into wines. They just make me sleepy so I mostly only drink it at home.

I wish I knew something about wine. I just go to the local store, try some, pick what I like. Then the next time I have a glass of wine, it's terrible and I use it for cooking.

Same.

Red wine gives me an almost instant migraine.

And I also like Pinot Grigio... a good crisp Pinot Grigio is always my choice for wine, unless I’m drinking a poinsettia.

But I can’t drink vodka as it also gives me a horrible migraine.

I’m a gin or rum girl.

Sulfa isn’t found in wine. Did you mean sulfites? I’d hate for you to be unnecessarily missing out!

My wife loves Moscato. It's a good summer wine when you're trying to chill out.

I really don't know enough about wine to buy the expensive stuff and appreciate it. Generally speaking, I just go to the LCBO Vintages section and buy a dozen sub-$30 (CDN) bottles based on ratings and staff notes. It's worked ok thus far.

Usually a Cabernet Sauvignon or a Merlot, but I also enjoy a nice Sauvignon Blanc or a Chardonnay. I was in an Italian fruit market the other day and bought a Blood Orange Rose that was fantastic. So, I mix it up. I like browsing and trying different options.

Favorite is a Chardonnay from Glenora Wine Cellars in the Finger Lakes region of New York State. We use to get it shipped to our home here in Florida but, they recently stopped shipping to Florida. So, we now settle for Clos du Bois Chardonnay while in Florida.

Depends on the winery. I lean more white wines, my wife leans red wines. We live 40 miles from Lodi, California, a community with 85+ wineries. Many have white wines, but only one does white wines exclusively. So red wines prevail, and the region is known for it's Zinfandels.
And the dirty little secret, a big portion of the grapes used by Napa wineries, are grown in Lodi.

I drink both but I will typically choose red over white. I love sweet and dry wines. Merlot and Malbec are by go-to red wines. I also love a good red blend. Moscato and Riesling are my go-to white wines.

But we all know that the best wine is a fruit wine from Herb Ertlinger.

Sauvignon Blanc - Nautilus, Whitehaven, Oyster Bay, Nobilo Icon, Kono
Chenin Blanc - Ken Forrester Petit Chenin Blanc
Pinot Noirs - Josh Cellars, MacMurray
Bordeaux Red Blend (Blaye District) - Chateau Les Aubiers, Chateau Haut Canteloup
Zinfandels - Rancho Zabaco, Dancing Bull, Ravenswood (Lodi Region) Zinfandel
Cabernet Sauvignon- Joseph Phelps Vineyards
Merlot - Joseph Phelps Vineyards
