wine, liquor, snacks

Hello all,

I posted before about coming in next week with Tiffany and wasn't sure where to go for wine and snacks( Publix, Goodings). I thank everyone for there feedback but noticed at bottom of thread that Publix does not have liquor (Vodka). Was wondering where I could have Tiffany take me for Wine, Liquor, and snacks. Apparently they don't stop at Goodings. Suggestions welcome. Thanks again.

I'm not sure if all resorts sell alcohol by the bottle, but I know that the deluxes do, both in their gift shops and through room service. Neither is an inexpensive solution.

hmmm...why not bring a bottle of vodka with you?
you can pack that in your suitcase - right? just buy it in a plastic container, wrap it in a large zip-lock bag (just in case) and then wrap a sweat shirt or towel around it to give it some "cushion". Or even put it in your carry-on.

This will be a MUCH cheaper option then (a) driving around looking for a liquor store and (b) buying it at the resorts - very $$$$.

I brought back a bottle of wine that was given to us on our honeymoon on the plane - had it in a carryon - they had no problem with it.

The previous posters are right: buying liquor on property isn't cheap. However, if you're desperate, Concourse Gifts & Sundries at the Contemporary has the best liquor selection (cigars too) in WDW. It's worth a look if you're in the area.

We used Tiffany last August and requested the 30 min grocery stop. The driver took us to Pick N Save a little ways from the WDW gates (he said they were the most reasonable priced clean grocery store). They had a liquor store attached and we found it to be much more convenient than carrying it around in our luggage. I made a point of mentioning to our driver that we were looking to buy liquor as well as food, so you might want to mention it when the driver picks you up.
