Wine Glasses - Standard Duluxe Resort Rooms?

We are staying SV BWI in December. I was thinking about bringing a bottle of wine with us. Will the resort provide wine glasses if asked? I don't remember seeing any in the room, but does this break some kind of etiquette?

I love stayed at BLT just for wine glasses

I sometimes bring one with me but prefer to just buy a souvenir wine glass, use it there then have it with memories at home.

You can get plastic ones at the QS places. They keep at registers.

I would call housekeeping first and see. Then maybe stop by a restaurant and show room key? Or order room service then hide it when they come to get dishes

I don't thînk they will supply them. We had to make do with a plastic knife a Yacht Club wen we asked for something to cut our left over wedding cake with.

We usually visit an in house lounge the first night where my wife orders wine then she carries the glass back to the room with her.

Walla, I mean voila, then she has a glass to drink her wine from.

(And just to satisfy everyone, no we don't bring the glass home with us, yes we do tip the waitress at the first lounge, no we are not rude to anyone along the way)

We like purchasing wine and other beverage glasses as souvenirs. We use them in the room and when we return home they make great reminders of our trips. Since you're staying at BWI you'll find that the World Showcase has many wine glasses and the Screen Door gift shop at the BWI had the standard MM wine glasses for sale.

I am not a wine drinker so maybe that is why I have to ask this question. Why can't you drink wine out of a plastic cup or your resort mug? Just curious.

No that is good question. I CAN drink wine in plastic but we PREFER a wine glass. A "glass" glass is better than a plastic glass but a stemmed glass is better than nothing. It is part of the fun/experience
