Has anyone tried this? Was it worth it? Was the selection of wines to choose from limited or were there a lot of choices?

I'm looking into this for my next trip (2 adults, on the deluxe DDP). We are doing a lot of signature restaurants though, and the FAQ says that two wine credits are deducted for one bottle at a signature restaurant. $80 seems a lot for a bottle of wine in that case! But it is Disney, so maybe not, lol! I'd just be curious to see what caliber of wines they are offering, if it is a good value (ie, are you limited to just the very cheapest bottles on the menu).

So if anyone has any input, I'd appreciate it! Thanks!:thumbsup2

Thank you for posting......I too am interested in having this answered as I would like to add it on to the DxDPP as a surprise for the hubby. However I am unsure of the value.:surfweb:

Bumping up because I am also interested. Has anyone actually used it yet this year? Or, if anyone is going any time soon, would they be willing to get more info (types of wines or price ranges available at regular table service and sig. dining places)? I don't go until August, so that dosen't help much. Thanks!

$80 for a bottle of wine at Disney is not that much. We were not on any DDP, we have DDE which gives us discount on both food and alcohol. We only do signatures for dinner and we did try some of the wine that was listed on the menus as being available on the Wine plan. The bottle at Ca Grill was $100 and I believe the bottle at JIKO was $105.

Excellent to know! Thank you! :goodvibes

I was wondering this....thank you!

would love to hear more from anyone. How funny we were doing the same research online as you all. We usualy use the DDE card and get 20% food and wine. More than paid for itself at victoria and Albert's. We usually do signature restaurants and thought this would be interesting. Anyone know of a link or a sample list of Wine and Dine Wine lists?

The previous example of $100 or $105 bottle of wine would cost the same with DDE and the 20%. ....and no limitations on selection

We didn't do the wine addon when we were at WDW a little over a week ago but did notice the little sign(s) next to most bottles of wine at the signature restaurants.

The less expensive bottles were marked with one icon and there was an explanation that one wine entitlement would be used for those wines. Above somewhere in the lower $50 range, the wines were marked with 2 icons so two entitlements.

So it wasn't as limited as I had assumed from the description in the brochure. From that, it seemed as if any bottle ordered at a signature restaurant would take two entitlements. Not so.

And most wines were options.
