Wine & Dine Half Questions

My DH and I ran our first Disney race in the ToT 10 Miler and loved it. We are thinking about trying the Wine & Dine half next year. Is it always the last weekend of the F&W festival?

Hard to say...

Last year it was the same weekend as the ToT 10 miler. At this time I would assume so, but keep looking at the W&D section of the runDisney site for the official program to be posted. It will have the expected dae in the back of the program.

For the first two years, the Wine & Dine Half coincided with the opening weekend of the F&W Festival. At last year's expo, the program had this year's Wine & Dine for the same weekend. Then they made the announcement of the ToT 10 Miler a couple months later or so, and the Wine & Dine was pushed to November to coincide with the last weekend instead. So I wouldn't guarantee anything right now...even when the program at this year's expo lists dates because that meant nothing when they printed the dates last year for this year's race. This year it not only coincides with the closing weekend of the festival, but also with Jersey Week...so we can expect more crowds. They may see how this year goes with all of that before finalizing a weekend for next year. Or they may stick with whatever dates wind up being printed. I'm just rolling with the punches.

This year's new date in November should hopefully lead to cooler temperatures. We have the Wine and Dine festival but wouldn't it be awesome if it coincided with the Fantasyland and Test Track openings on December 6. Oh well...
