Wine Country Trattoria during parade ?

We are planning on dining during the Pixar Parade (5:15).

1) What time should I make PS for? 5:00? Or earlier to make sure I get a good view?

2) Also do I tell them I'd like to dine on the patio when making my PS?


Side note: As a former Chico State student, I laugh that Sierra Nevada is listed as a "premium beer".

Maybe our experience was rare, but when we were there in November, they sat us inside even though we asked politely to sit outside where there were tables. The waiter barely visited us, and we felt that we were being forgotten as they were finishing up for the day.

A similar experience happened to my DD and me 4 years ago; we were seated outside, but faaaaar from the best viewing side (not really their fault, none of those tables were open when we arrived); then, we were not given water or menus for several minutes; after waiting several more minutes for someone to come take our order, we got up and left, walked down the entrance steps, and sat down right next to them for a great view of the parade....go figure.

His was a bust. They have no patio seating during our Sept. trip.

FYI, we were there in November and had 5:00 PS. When we arrived there was only one group seated outside. We asked for a table that was right at the wall that overlooked the parade route. We were given that table and finished our meal right when the parade started. We had great service as we have always received when we go there
