Wine Country/Parade

How is the view of the Pixar parade from the patio at Wine Country Trattoria? Thinking about getting reservations at that time - but really want to see the parade. Anybody tried this?

Another aside - can you walk through Ariel's Grotto to get to TSMM or do you have to walk around the lagoon?

You can walk *by* Ariel's, but walking through it would put you into the Cove Bar. Though there is an exit...so it's not that you can't...it's just that unless you want to get a drinky there's no reason to go through the Grotto.

Just walk around, past Screamin', and the carousel and on to TSMM.

I sat on the patio (in the cold 40-degree December night air) at Wine Country Trattoria and watched the Play Parade. The view was good. I mean, you are kind of looking down on the parade - you are not eye level with it - and you have to make sure they seat you at a table where you CAN see it, on the perimeter of the patio rather than more inward, but we were pleasantly surprised because we weren't expecting to be able to see a parade while eating, but we did!

We dined outside at WCT in Dec. and had a great view of the parade, in fact we're eating there next month for the same reason.

We were lucky as well when we were there in November (warmer weather than you Sherry- sorry!). Our table was right at the wall so we had a great view of the parade. We jsut turned our chairs a bit and kept eating. But you will not be able to request this when you make your ps. You just have to hope for the best. When we walked up at our PS time, we saw there was a table open and we asked to sit there and they gave it to us.

This is so what we want to do. I hope we can make it work for us!!
If the parade is at 5:15, what time should we make our PS for?
