Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend 2022 (Nov. 3-6, 2022)

Do you need to have your Magic Band on when you run for the photos to show on your account? Or can I just have my bib?
it's by bib number. sometimes it can take a few days for all of them to show up because there is a crew that goes through and manually assigns every single bib to the pictures. AND, sometimes you might take a picture (such as a castle jump-pic) and your bib does something weird and the number isn't showing and 4 or 5 days later your pic will show up because they're awesome.

DH did the 5k and 10k last year and I'm pretty sure I started seeing his pics before he got back to the room!

Reading the MW thread got me to thinking... Will we be having pre-race meetups at the lamppost like earlier this year?

I’ll be there for every race. Aside from hanging out with all you fine folks, it’s a nice, empty place to wait before you have to join the masses in the corrals.

Just bib and they will include pictures that don't even have the bib visible. It's kinda crazy.

For any Club runDisney gold and platinum members wondering about Day 1 of the expo: if you can’t make it during your designated early access times, you’ll have to take your chances and join the VQ like everyone else 😡🤬

I’ve told runDisney that I think that’s really unfair and they should be providing some kind of transportation for the full operating hours of the expo, including the early access times.

If they didn't pull "Wedgie-the-Pooh" from the SS 10k, I'm not sure what it'll take. (Referenced costume was a very cheeky-cut red one-piece swimsuit with a very short yellow tutu. I can't imagine running a race with a wedgie the whole time.)

Oh goodness. I need pics :rotfl2:

You are justified in feeling cheated, considering they don't provide transportation during that time.

I didn't take pics. But it's EXACTLY what you're imagining.

I'm all for wearing what you wanna wear, but also, know your environment and that chafing is a thing.
I did Bay to Breakers, and for those not in the know, it's San Francisco, and the only thing you have to wear is the bib. So yeah, there are runners who have the bib and running shoes, and nothing else... talk about chafing. I was also thinking sun burn because it was quite a sunny day.

Update to my husband's waiver issue: I've sent two emails to RunDisney, I've received 3 responses from 3 separate people. Two responded that my husband has multiple accounts (which he denies, and has tried every other email he's ever had with no success on the RunDisney page). I sent all the information they requested twice. No response from them after the last email since Tuesday. This morning I get another email from them about the urgent action needed to sign his waiver. It says in the email that printing a waiver at the expo is NOT an option. Now I'm just aggravated. Also important to note that his $15 gift card went to his registered email the other day. :crazy2: I have attempted to send his waiver to his account, at least 6 times.

Disappearing registrations are a well-known issue that has been happening since they started this new electronic waiver system. It happens to a good number of runners each race weekend and they'll have printed waivers to sign at the Expo for this eventuality. They just say "paper isn't an option" in an effort to have as many people use the electronic system as possible.

We are resident AP holders and I cannot decide if I want to pay the $99 to add Photo Pass for the year. Can we add it after the race and we see the photos or would it need to be prior?

I’m in the same sitch… my CM friend said because the pics/MM are date-specific, they would NOT be included if we add MM after the race. But I’m hoping that’s wrong, as I have no time to add it pre-race, since you have to do that in person, as far as I know. If anyone knows otherwise, I’m all ears!

I don't know with the current system but I do know that in the past when we added an AP we got immediate access to the past 13 months of pictures. Even ones that were no longer showing on the photopass website.

They say a printed waiver isn’t an option but this happens to a lot of people every race. (Happened to me for the marathon in January 2022). Don’t stress and just sign the waiver in person.
