windsor Hills?

Wow.. is that what they do, post here for advertisment?

Well if so, I for one, am grateful. I must have been one of those who read one of their "inquiring" posts and found the site, and rented from them. John Cline, as a matter of fact.
His townhome was lovely.. brand new. He seemed to really care that the rentors had everything they needed, and made himself, and the very well run management company, available anytime needed. The rates, extremely reasonable. After tax and fees, only $105 a night for a 3 bedroom/3 bath townhome, in the middle of June. Tastefully Disney themed... had that 'magic' feeling.

If they do post for advertisement, and others, like me, find them and rent from them, then I only see everyone benefiting from it.

Thanks for this post. I'm staying in the townhome next July, and it is nice to see a good review. It looks great on the website. I've taken my kids twice, and stayed at AllStar Sports. This time, dh has finally agreed to go, but not to do Disney. He is going to golf while we are at the parks, and we are going to visit the Space Center together. I couldn't see getting a condo when the townhome was the same price!

Did you rent from vacationcentralflorida.com or just another individual owner in Windsor Hills? It sounds like there may be some confusion because this post is about vacationcentralflorida.com who own/manage several condos and a townhome at Windsor Hills, but only rent Saturday to Saturday. There are many other owners at Windsor Hills will book for however many days you want.

We booked through vacationcentralflorida.com. Dave Robinson's place right? We submitted our date request to him. He submitted it to the owner and it was approved. We were then contacted by both parties and told where to send our deposit.

Ya know, If it were once in a while, and it was high post count people most of the time, I could see it being good news travels fast. And I'm sure a few of the posts may be that innocent. But I see too many low post count blatent posts like this one. The main defender on this thread is curiously enough another low post count person (Hmmm???)

First of all, most newbies are looking to stay onsite. They are on the restaraunt boards and them park strategy boards. Usually, people don't start looking off site until after their 1st or 2nd stay. Even if they hit this board first, they would have general ?'s about hotels and developments....but to have already zroed in on one development, one rental company, and one owner???? While they still have quick shallow ???'s like where can we see Handy Manny in the parks?????? Yes I think it is more than intentional.

Holy Smokes! Are you talking about me??? My very first post here was about this company (who we are staying with in 2 weeks, btw!) and I think I asked about Handy Mandy - my son's a HUGE fan. I have a low post count, but I am totally not a "spy" or "advertiser" for Dave.

This is our first trip EVER to WDW or WDL and I found these boards by Googling this company - there are so many reviews here, the search picked out the Dis right away. And rightfully so - we have had nothing but amazing service and great prices.

You're awfully testy about this. :grouphug:

If you hang around long enough there are a lot of people here who seem to fly off the handle quickly. :rolleyes1

I am excited about my stay and I hope yours is great.

There are a lot of people around here with some good info. Then there are others that seem to wake up on the wrong side of the bed. :sad2:

No one makes you read OR respond to a post. As Flower's mom says on Bambi..."if you don't have anything nice to say...then don't say anything at all"

And BTW we say Handy Manny at DHS right inside of the animation area to the right...there was an area and he was there. I don't know if you got that answered or not.

Sarah

Oooh, thanks! :) I have never been so I have no idea about those areas... ;) But I will look. Thanks again.

I belong to another forum where the people are super friendly and drama is shut down right away - I have had lots of people get snarky when I just asked questions... where's the love, Mickey-lovers?? Although I must add that I have met a zillion more lovely people than snarky ones. :)

I still love it here.

I find the comment that usually people don't start looking off site until after their 1st or 2nd stay kind of funny.

We didn't stay onsite until our 4th visit. And that was just because of free dining.

Why wouldn't people try to explore offsite for their first trip? It is the way to go IMO.

Sarah

Well, I posted a review about this group myself on a new thread of my own. It was my families first trip EVER to WDW and we opted for offsite. Sure, we originally wanted to stay onsite AKL, but prices were too much. When we could pay less than half for a 3BR, why not? I'd rather enjoy my time in the parks and have a comfy, roomy place to relax then be all "gotta stay onsite or else you dont' get the experience!".

For the record I wasn't advertising for them, but you know what they say- a satisfied customer is the best advertisment!

Not necessarily true. I found these boards purely by accident, when I was googling some offsite properties that had been advertised in a local travel company's brochure. I never had any intention of staying onsite. Heading for our 4th trip in December...still haven't stayed onsite. I came to these boards already knowing we were staying offsite. I think this was probably the first board I posted on.

We just returned from Windsor Hills, and stayed at unit 304 - part of Dave Robinson's units on his website, but owned by someone else. We had a really nice time there, with a few minor exceptions, but for the $299 rate, it was much better than I expected. The place was like new, nicely decorated and everything worked out well.

We were on the 3rd floor (the condo units have 4 floors), and in the last few days, we could hear the people above us walking around - this got annoying at 11pm. But I don't think they were being loud on purpose, because we could feel the floor shaking when someone in our own unit walked around. And one time me and my daughter were in the bathroom, and she was opening and closing the shower door a few times - NOT slamming it, just slowing moving it back and forth, and my husband came in and told her to stop because he could hear it in the kitchen - he thought she was slamming it. The units were just not made soundproof enough, but not any fault of the owners.

We loved that the unit was non-smoking, because my MIL is very allergic to stuff. We only visited the pool once, but it was very nice. My only other comment is it would have been nice if the units had luggage carts - we had a lot of stuff and had to make many trips back and forth to the unit to load and unload.

I would stay there again, but next time I would stay on the 4th floor, or their townhome.
