I am getting ready to book an 11 day stay at a townhouse in Windsor Hills. Just thought I'd quickly see if anyone has anything "bad"/"good" to say about the place that may be hidden to someone like myself going there for the first time. Thanks!

WH is great but just remember each condo, townhouse and pool home is individually owned so they will all be different. The two that we've stayed in were nice, one more so than the other. The one with more amenities also cost more. The basic one was clean and ok. It's nice to have the splash pool just to yourself. WH is very large but if you stay down where the clubhouse, condos and townhouses are you won't even notice. Take a drive up through where the pool homes are just to get an idea of how large it is.
You could post the website of the townhouse you're staying in someone might have stayed there.
Also do a search for Windsor Hills and you should find tons of info.

We're staying there in June for the first time but everything I've read on the DIS board is very positive.

You will need to get a access card ($6 returnable) for access to the pool and clubhouse areas. Go to the welcome center (next to Sundry shop) on your first day at Windsor Hills. Make sure you bring documentation to prove you are staying in Windsor Hills and then you can get your access card.

Just returned from a 10 night stay in Windsor Hills. We stayed in a two bedroom condo. It was fantastic. The pool was wonderful as were the other recreational facilities (didn't go the park). I would stay there again. It was very clean and the staff was helpful. It also feels very safe as it is a gated community.

Based on everything I've read on these boards, Windsor Hills seemed to have more people speaking positives about it than any other area. As a result we're staying in a WH townhouse in July. This is our first time off-site in about 5 years mostly because we're doing 12 days this time. I did a bunch of comparing and searching on vrbo.com, just focusing on WH. The owner of ours has been great to deal with so far and they have a lot of positive reviews. We're looking forward to it.

It's a bigger place than we need but having our own splash pool when we come home at night seemed like a big plus and it was still quite reasonable: http://www.yourdisneyhome.com/3__Bedroom_Townhome.php
