So I have a little dilema I've never been faced with before.
I want to book offsite, I know what I want to book, but the flights for the end of Feb are taking sooooo long to come out.

Would you or do you normally put a deposit down on your accomodations?
My concern is, if I cant get on a Sat/Sat flight if I'd be able to switch dates of course.

If you want that specific home, you should book now. (put a deposit down).

Check the cancellation policy before you book a specific property. Some give refunds if you cancel far enough out. Others will only keep a small part of your deposit. If you really want a specific house, you'll want to reserve it as soon as you can. You can decide if it's worth it to possibly lose a little money if you have to cancel. Some places will apply your deposit to different dates, it might be easy enough to adjust your dates after the airfares come out.
