So we have now stayed at both of the neighborhoods and I can tell you that we LOVED Windsor Hills much better. Here are the reasons:

- Pools seemed larger at windsor Hills, actually quite a bit of a difference (I'm talking houses not condos there)
- from what we could tell WH only has covered pools at each house, Reunion has a mixture but looked like mostly uncovered. We had one of each and I will tell you the covered pool is MUCH better. We spent a fare amount of time cleaning out the uncovered pool but the covered stay spotless the whole time. From now on we will only rent one with a cover. (Also when it's covered no fear of "critters" that can come in over night and hideout under chairs, etc.
- By far WH is MUCH closer then Reunion to all the parks. 5 minutes from WH vs. 15-20 from Reunion. WH is just much more realistic to take a break and get to in the middle of the day.
- The size of Reunion is seriously ENORMOUS. It is ver easy to get lost in. There was just not a sense of feeling like you could walk anywhere. WH it is a more reasonable size and very walkable.

Glad we tried them both but now we know. FYI, We rented a 5 bdrm at Reunion and a 6 bdrm at WH.

Hope this may help!

We've stayed at both also and agree with your reasoning. If you're not going to the parks every day then the travel difference wouldn't matter too much. We had a covered pool at both places and I think I would prefer that to uncovered and it was also bigger at WH. But if you plan to take advantage of golf and all that Reunion has to offer then I'm sure Reunion would be best in that area. But we like Windsor Hills and also Emerald Island. :)

Well, I was torn between 2 houses for our July vacation, and went with the Reunion one. The WH one wasn't as luxurious looking, not that it matters much. I didn't realize Reunion was such a further distance from the parks. Maybe I'll reconsider WH for next time. Our Reunion home's pool is covered, thankfully! I honestly thought all FL pool homes had covered ones...good to note this in the future. I'll give a report when I get back. Thanks!

Hi, just a quick fyi...from Reunion I think it is much quicker and easier to get to Disney to turn right (west) from the main entrance toward Champion's Gate and hop on I-4 east. No lights, no turning traffic, no construction, and straight shot into Disney off I-4.You might find this is as fast as sitting in a long line at WH trying to dodge onto Old Lake Wilson Road.

Enjoy...Ted

Thanks, Ted. I'll write that down...I'm sure it will help, as we'll be there in less than 2 weeks! :thumbsup2

Spent a few weeks at WH, and I have to say this is the only drawback! I sure hope they fix that road, and maybe put a traffic light in...it's a pain to travel there.
