Windsor Hills vs. Formosa Gardens

It seems like the majority of people are renting and talking about Windsor Hills. After extensive research and looking at what felt like thousands of homes we chose to rent one in Formosa Gardens. We chose it because the lots looked bigger, a bit more private and the pools looked bigger as well. The kids are more interested in the pool that is at the house rather then a community pool. I am starting to feel concerned because I never see any threads about Formosa Gardens in here. Did I make a mistake? I am getting worried about it now.

I think you are right on the money personally.

I am an owner in a different resort for 3 years and have never gone to the clubhouse to use the facilities.

Except the internet cafe to print boarding passes.

We swim in our own pool and when not in the pool we are in the parks or doing something in the area. MY kids have used the game room in the clubhouse when I was at a meeting for the owners.

We rented in Rolling Hills a couple of years ago, they are all around the same place right close to the back entrance to Animal Kingdom. Its a very nice area close to everything. No sweat have a blast

I think you will be happy with your choice. The homes in Formosa Gardens appear to be larger homes and on much bigger lots than the other communities in the Formosa Gardens area. The location is great.

I think you have made a great choice - Formosa Gardens is very much sought after, big plots and lovely houses

I think Fg is a good choice, too. We rented at WH in March to use the big pool, and we were there 11 days and only used it, I think 3 times (maybe 2).

We did not use the movie theater, or games room, or any other communal facilities as we had all those things at our pool home.

(We did use and enjoy the sundry shop, however.)

And it is very nice to have that privacy that FG can give you. The homes are very close together in WH (most of them) and if you get a big group of college kids roughousing and partying when using the pool next door -- well, that is only 4 feet away!

So it sounds like a great choice for your family.

Thanks everyone I feel much better now. The home is in a cul-de-sac and has a large pie shape lot. The homeowner said the other pools are so far away you could not even have a conversation between them.

Formosa Gardens homes are huge, although there are no community facilities like Windsor Hills. You will have a great vacation there, and as WH is next door you can check it out for yourself.

We love Formosa Gardens! My family rents a house there every year for 3 months and we couldn't be happier with the area or the house we rent. You will have a great time!
