Hi

After much, much searching - we are splashing out this time round as want a resort with waterpark/tennis courts etc for the kids. Now have the choice of some great villas with good prices to compare

Choice is between a top of the range all-singing all dancing Villa without a games room at Windsor Hills v Villa at Reunion (smaller villa and no games room)

We have never had a games room before but would expect to use

Have read many good things about both. Anyone been to both and describe any subtle differences to help us make the final choice?

Thanks for any help

Cheers

James

Reunion every single time for us! It is further away, but TBH I have never really got the location thing as 5-10 minutes in the car is neither here nor there to me.

There is absolutely no contest - Reunion is a gazillion times better. There is nothing subtle about the differences. Windsor Hills is just another villa sub-division, whereas Reunion is a uber-chic, uber-exclusive, members only resort with three championship golf courses, restaurants and its own water park.

Apologies, I've just spotted that you're a new member - welcome to the forums, James! :goodvibes

Never stayed at either but would have a preference for Windsor Hills personally.
Absolutely no doubt Reunion is nicer, in fact it's hard to beat in so many respects.
However, it just looks 'too nice' with a lively child running all over the place in mind. :) Saying it's "too nice", sounds crazy but I can't think of another way to describe it.

I disagree with Deb about Windsor Hills -I think WH is a cut above many '"sub-divisions", and along with perhaps 3 or 4 others - including Terre Verde where we stay for part of our holiday this year offers high quality accomodation for an enjoyable comfortable stay.

Reunion, is top class - but the likes of Windsor Hills, Windsor Palms, Emerald Island and Terre Verde whilst not as nice (also not as expensive I might add) are also better (in my opinion) than many of the other "sub divisions".
We have stayed at Indian Creek a few times, which is nothing like as nice as Windsor Hills.
I don't think you can put all villa developents in one category, many differ in quality.

As ever it's what you want out of it - me, I like a really nice, modern villa, south facing very private pool in a nice development in the Kissimmee area. That's enough for me, for 2 or 3 weeks.

Irrespective of the obvious quality of Reunion, Windsor Hills in itself is a lovely place to stay - my vote would go for that, naturally I have to look at things through our perspectives - guess everyone has different needs.

I've stayed at WH 3 times - but not Reunion.

In your initial post you mention that you want a waterpark - WH only has a pool with a slide so can't compete with Reunion as I understand it has much better facilities.

I agree entirely that not all villa communities are equal, but what I was trying to get across is that Reunion is not a villa community, so the two aren't comparable. My other posts explain the differences in more detail.
