Windsor Hills Town Home Question

We rented a town home in Windsor Hills for our May 2018 trip. The company we rented through had several town homes to choose from, we chose the one we did because it is very close to the community pool. We are planning to have several pool days during our trip and thought the convenience of being close would be best. He also had an end unit that caught my eye (the end units seem to have a larger lanai for the private splash pool and more privacy and openness without the concrete wall separating the units on one side.) The end unit looks to be furthest from the community pool. So I keep waffling back and forth on whether I should call and see if I can switch to the end unit? So my question is this, for those of you that have stayed in the WH town homes, how large is the town home neighborhood? Would it be a long walk from the furthest units (on Sir Kaufman) vs. the closest units (on Maneshaw?) Is the privacy of an end unit worth being farther from the community amenities? I know I'm probably over thinking this, LOL.

We have only stayed in end units at WH, I like them, as you said, they only have neighbours on 1 side, and are a bit more open. We have stayed on Sir Kaufman 3 times and also on Renshaw. I don't think the difference in walking would be more than 4 or 5 minutes tops. We didn't mind walking, but travelled light. We didn't take a load of stuff to the pool that we had to carry. Just a bag with towels in and a few snacks, my daughter carried her pool ball if she wanted to take it. The shop sells drinks, snacks and ice creams if you wanted to buy anything.

We rented a town house on Maneshaw last May through Vacation Central Florida. I think we were one unit in from the end. It didn't matter to us - we were fine. This was our second time staying at Windsor Hills and we have never made it to the big pool. The pool at the house was enough to cool off in the evening, and we went to the Disney waterparks several times.

Another renter from Vacation Central Florida here, I've stayed on Sir Kaufman and are show both and the last stay was in an end unit. The walk to the main pool is not bad or overwhelming at all. For us, not having neighbors on one side of us (nor behind us) was nice, but not as great as we had imagined it to be. Because these are two stories you soon realize that the upper bedroom window that looks down on the splash pools kind of negates any privacy you think you might have. It's fine, and we loved our stay, but the end unit as compared to an inner unit is just an average bonus to me.

Thanks for the replies everyone, Vacation Central Florida is actually who we rented through! Glad to hear everyone has had good experiences with them. We are planning to break up our park days with some pool days, we've found from past trips that everyone gets over tired and crabby when we are go go go every day with no breaks from the parks, which is why we thought being near the community pool would be convenient. It sounds like the town home section isn't very big anyway, though.

we luvvv dave @vacationrental.com,, on his page u can see how close to the pool, the above post is correct its nice to see grass outside but out on the porch the pool walls r only halfway so u will hear the neighbors in the other pools anyway... and yup u over thinking it, we were so busy we only stepped outside on porch couple of times. we stayed at TH only feet from the big pool it was nice, hunt down the hot tub, its way in the back of big pool

Well it looks like his end unit town house is now booked for my dates anyway, so that will make up my mind for me. The middle unit on Maneshaw close to the community pool it is, LOL!

We rented from vacationcentralflorida as well and had a very good experience. We did not have an end unit and had no problems with noise or neighbors. We only visited the main pool once. My kids really enjoyed the splash pool even though it was very small. I would not hesitate to rent from them again!

We had an end unit that was right across the street from the community pool and clubhouse. Since we had our own splash pool, we never once used the community pool in the two weeks we were there. We never utilized the clubhouse at all.
