Windsor hills TH, Pool heat? and other questions...

I am looking at vacationcentralflorida.com, at their townhouses in particular. I stay in WH 2 years ago but in a condo. We are considering the townhouse this trip.

We are looking at end of Oct., beginning of Nov. The pool is south facing. Is pool heat necessary?

Also, if you have stayed at a TH, do you hear much noise from neighbors? Or is it fairly quiet?

Any other comments on THs in general or about renting from vacationcentral florida??

hiya.. i have no answers sorry... im looking for the same ones for the townhose...but from yr condo in WH...were the parks easy to get to...MK esp? did the place seem safe and was the pool nice...we're looking for erly nov too...someone else will jump in.....soon... to answer the th ??can i ask why a twnhs over the condo this time?/ still up in the air for us...

We've done villas 2 times late October/early November and we've always done the pool heat. One year we had 3 days where it was too cold to swim even with the pool heat. It gets cool in the evenings, which is when we like to swim the most, so pool heat was a must for us.

Mainly for the splash pool & the parking convenience. Last time we wanted as cheap as possible. Also last trip my kids were younger & I was nervous about anyone sleeping downstairs while we are upstairs. I am less concerned this trip.

WH is a gated community. We felt safe there. As far as getting to disney, I believe the community was about 2-3 miles from Animal Kingdom Lodge if that helps you judge. I don't think it took more than 20 minutes to get to anywhere we wanted to go on Disney property. DTD was the furthest from us.

We stayed in a WH townhouse during the first week of November a few years ago. We paid for pool heat, but the management company forgot to turn it on. The water was too cold to swim in unheated. (The company came right out and turned it on.)

I called them yesterday to ask a few questions. I am waiting to hear back. One of the things I was wondering is if pool heat can be added upon arrival, or if it needs to be chosen at the time of contract.

It all depends on how warm you like the water. I found the water in the community pool at WH to be too cold in May. But that's just me, I like the water to be like a hot tub. Early November, I would definitely pay for pool heat.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere (maybe on my contract) that if you add it when you get there it costs a lot more. I'm thinking it was $95 if you add before you get there.

Edit~~ Just found on my contract that you can add pool heat after you get there but it will be an additiona $25 on top of the $95. Hope this helps .
