we're staying in a condo at Windsor Hills. Can anyone tell me....

1. about the "pool card" and the cost?
2. if the movie theater is free?
3. if there is a charge for the other amenities at the resort?
4. if there is a large grocery store nearby?
5. how convenient the shuttles to WDW are?

Thank you!

Hello, we are owners at Windsor Hills.
1. The pool card will allow you to enter the pool and game room at the clubhouse. It is $6 and is fully refunded when you return it at the end of your stay.
2.The movie theater is free- I think you can even request the movie to be shown
3.There is no charge for the other amenities for guests of Windsor Hills. If you have to borrow equipment, there may be a refundable deposit
4.There is a nice Publix grocery store 5 minutes from WH. Go west on 192, it will be on the right
5.We haven't used the shuttle. I believe it is $10per person rt, you can schedule it at the Clubhouse. I don't think it runs unless someone requests it.

Have a great time at a wonderful resort!

We just got back from renting at Windsor Hills-- and some of that info from the owner is incorrect.

RE: the gameroom.

The video games are charged. (I think it was 50 cents per play). The foosball was also charged 75 cents per game.

Pool (billiards) was $6 an hour deposit. They were very strict about the hour, so you need to hand it in on time or even early or you will lose the deposit.

All sports equipment had a deposit which varied from $3 to $6.

Movies were free, but only on certain times such as 10:30, 2 and 5. One day it was 12, 3 and 6 but you get the idea. I wanted to check out the theater but the door was locked inbetween movies.

The card is to be purchased at the sales office. It is the same code on both cards which is the access number for the fitness room. When you leave, it is refunded. The pool card office is from 8 am to 10 pm, unless there is bad weather.

In our stay last week, the entire pool was closed 2 days, and one day all services: shop, game room, fitness room, etc was closed.

Thanks so much!!!

WDWMouse... We are very interested in becoming owners, too. It is one reason why we chose this resort. Would you mind answering some other questions? Can I PM you? Thanks!

Wish I was in a financial position to become owners.... maybe I'll get to rent from you someday!:yay:

Just a comment on grocery stores...we used Super Walmart which was about 15 minutes away but I found the pricing really good.

Just curious....why was the pool closed for 2 days?

Also, what time is the pool usually open till? Thanks. :)

There was tropical storm Faye one day and everything was closed. I think it was the day it was supposed to be the "worst", so they closed the shop, gameroom, pool, exercise room and office. They also left the gates open for a while in case they lost electricity so residents could go in and out.

Schools were closed, locals were preparing thier homes and some people were flooded. That was the day that Disney opened early. We went to Universal and they stated at opening that they may close the park. (we left at 11 and they didn't at that point)

The 2nd time may have been for cleaning. It was our last Friday night and it was raining pretty much non stop (like the whole vacation). The pool is technically closed during heavy rain, lightning and thunder and all of that was going on. There was also a pool person van there so it could have been a maintenance issue as well.

The pool closes at 10 pm. My DH was there with my kids at that time. They turn off the lights and make an announcement to everyone and they lock the gates with a padlock behind everyone.
