We're renting a townhouse in November for 12 days, will we need the heat for the pool?

I know the main pool is heated, but the small pool in the house isn't unless you request it for $15/day.

Thanks :flower3:

We were very glad to have it in last December. I don't think we would have swam without it.

Yes definitely you will love the convenience of a warm pool right outside your door.

We are going May 3-9 of 2009 -
do we need pool heat then?

Pool heat is recomended for the months of October-April so I would say not needed. If you feel the pool is not to your liking ask to have it turned on. It may take 24 hours but I am thinking with the size of the splash pools it will take less.

We stayed at a townhouse in November 2006, paid for the heat, but they had forgotten to turn it on. The kids tried to swim anyway, but the water was just too cold, far too cold for me to even stick my feet in. The pool was very warm once the heat was turned on.

You may be OK, it probably depends on your preferences and the temperature that the pool is heated to.

I am being told that unheated pools are at 80 degrees at the moment. (May 22nd) Officially a heated pool in Florida has to be 78 degrees. To me that is a little too cold - I prefer it a little warmer. A lot of owners I know heat the pool to 84-86 degrees.

Personally I would have the pool heat on, but that is just me.

Hope that helps,

-Kay
