We are thinking of going to WDW during Thanksgiving week. I am trying to decide what would be the best area to stay at - Windsor Hills or 7 Dwarfs Lane. What is better regarding traffic and travel time to the parks. This week will be very crowded and we will be going to the parks for rope drop, come back to the condo at lunch and then return to the parks in the evening. I would like to avoid sitting in traffic if possible. Thank you in advance for help!

Windsor Hills is 5 minutes from the front gate to passing under the Disney sign on World Drive. Traffic is not an issue. Seven Dwarfs Lane is quite a ways down 192 and is about a 20-25 minute drive to World Drive (in traffic) and will take you through a less desirable area of town.

Good Luck!

7 Dwarfs Lane is not that far down 192. It is near the Super Target on 192. You can come up 535 and be on Disney property in 10-15 mins.

7 Dwarfs Lane is not that far down 192, but WH is a straight shot down Sherberth Road. Personally, I'd choose WH for ease of getting onto WDW property. 535 into DtD can get very congested at times.

Thank you for all the replies. I am certainly leaning towards WH. I wish mapquest/ GPS had an option "directions avoiding the rough side of town". :)
