Anyone give me any thoughts about which resort 4 adults would enjoy more? Thanks.

At Emererald Island there are no zero entry pools, larger playground, or water slide. There is a lot more landscape.

Not sure what you are looking for in a resort? But if it is a little more low key it might be just the ticket.

It really depends what you plan to do.

Emerald Island has a lot more green space and landscaping all around it. If you will be renting a home, the Enclave homes are larger on larger lots (ie more space between the home). If I were planning on renting a home and wanted to hang around the pool, I would look for somewhere with space / conservation around it - more relaxing. If I were with teenagers or kids, either community would be fine, but Windsor Hills does have the zero entry pool & slide. If I were planning on spending all day at the parks, then I would base my decision more on the home.

If you look at www.StayAtEmeraldIsland.com, there is a very nice ariel photo that shows the Emerald Island community and all the green space around it.

Thanks. I'm not sure how much time we would spend at the resort, but I would prefer it to be somewhat relaxing. We won't have any kids with us - just 4 adults. So based on the pool thing and green space, I might be leaning more toward Emerald Island.

Emerald Island is much more open and lush. Windsor Hills seems over-crowded with their large high-rise condos.

The Windsor Hills clubhouse has more things to do but mostly for kids.

Since you are all adults, I think you'll be happier with Emerald Island. Emerald Island also has a very large shopping center with a supermarket and many restaurants very close-by.

You've decided to rent a house so you already made the right choice :goodvibes

I don't agree... while EI may be a nice place, so is WHR. Neither is a better or worse place for adults. I was at WHR with 4 adults on a guys golf trip this past January in fact and everyone absolutely loved it. No one felt like it was a "kids" oriented place either, they all commented on how nice the clubhouse, home, pools, etc all were in fact, and both resorts are just as close to amenities like public grocery stores.

Pick the home and resort you like, they're both awesome places for kids or adults. If it's just adults I wouldn't necessarily pick "Disney themed" bedrooms, which you'll find in either place, but they're both great places to stay!

Thanks all. I've agonized over the two resorts and although I thought I had made my mind up on EI, I got a great rate on WH through an owner that I feel very comfortable with, loved the unit, and went with that one.

We have stayed at EI twice and WH once. They are both great. EI is prettier and quieter (although WH is not loud) and we like the house layouts better (more bathrooms, a bit larger). It has nice walking trails.

Neither is a resort in any sense like a Disney resort. They are "self-catering", do it yourself vacations. And neither has the landscaping you associate with a WDW moderate or deluxe.

But the differences are really minimal. I would go with the best house/condo you find at the best price.
