I am thinking of staying at windsor hills through disneyneighbor.com. I have never stayed at a place like this, have only stayed at hotels. The price is the same as the price at hampton inn in lake buena vista the area which we like to stay at. So here's the dumb questions: So when people check out, a cleaning person comes in and changes the sheets on the beds, washes the towels, etc. It is only two of us but I like the idea that we will have a lot more room than a hotel room. they also show pictures of billard tables. Are those free or do you have to put money in them. I need to be able to sell this on my ds20 because he wants to stay in lake buena vista area (because they are close to the parks).

Windsor Hills is VERY close to the parks.

We never played the billiard tables but I believe you just have to leave your drivers license with the front desk to use it. There's also a huge movie viewing room you can use.

Some owners at Windsor hills ask you to strip the beds and put the bedding and towels by the washing machine or even run the washer before you go (they'll come and switch to the dryer) BUT that depends on where you rent from and the owner. Other then that they do everything.

We are staying in the disneyneighbor.com 2 BR right now - checking out tomorrow. It is very close to all the parks - 10 - 15 minutes tops. The pool is really nice and they have billards and ping pong tables in the clubhouse - you just need to give your DL - it is free. disneyneighbor.com will ask you to strip the beds and put all the towels and sheets at the foot of the bed and start the dishwasher - that's it. Their management company has a cleaning service come in to do the rest. Their units are very nice - we have stayed in three of them. Seriously, you will never go back to a hotel once you stay here.

thanks for the replies. I went home last night and showed my son the website and he was sold. Going to book it today.

We are renting in Windsor hills to for the first time in dec. I used homeaway.com. To book our condo.

Buzz2400 - one more thing I thought about after I replied. For check-in you have to go to the management company office which is about 5-7 miles away from WH - right on 192. It is not a big deal as it is easy to get to. But - if you are flying in you might want to time your flight to coincide with check-in. Disneyneighbor will tell you that check-in is at 4pm, but we were able to pick up our keys at 3pm when the office opens on Saturday. They are open during normal business hours during the week so not sure how early you could pick up the keys M-F. If you arrive after business hours, the keys will be in a lockbox outside the office.

I mention this because our plane landed at 12:30 and we got to the mgmt office at 1:30. It was closed so we got some lunch and hit the grocery store for nonperishable but still had 30 minutes to kill before they opened. I didn't want to drive down to the Disney area only to have to drive back later so we wandered around one of the nearby giftshops.

The email I received said that they are only open from 4 to 5 on weekends and we are arriving on sunday. Fortunately we are driving so we can do the parks and then go there to pick up the stuff. Is there a walmart, target or publix right around where I pick up the keys.

Yes - there is a Publix one block down on 192 - it's on the corner. There is also a Publix and Target on 192 close to WH if you would rather shop after picking up the keys so that you can get perishables.

Maybe it is 4-5 pm on Sundays but on Saturday they opened at 3 and there were several people waiting there for their keys!

Have fun!
