We have stayed in a WH townhouse, but I am hoping someone who has stayed in a condo can provide a bit of info.

How is parking? Elevator access (did you feel like you were always waiting)? Was it fairly easy to get your stuff in and out (I assume they don't have luggage carts like hotels)?

If you had a condo where you could see fireworks, how was the view? Was it work choosing that condo just for the fireworks?

Any other impressions?

If we rent we will go with www.vacationcentralflorida.com because we had a great experience with them and a townhouse rental.

Hi there. We have stayed previously in a TH at WH, but this October/November stayed in a condo at WH.

I picked a top floor condo as I am a light sleeper and we had very little noise. Although voices do echo in the buildings if you happened to have anyone loud close by. A bit like the noise from people in the splash pool when at a TH.

There were 2 elevators in our building and we never had to wait for one. We did use the stairs too. Our suitcases have wheels so it was fine getting them to the condo.

Every night we parked in front of our building and could see our vehicle from the condo.

I thought there was plenty of space in the condo, there was a shower in the bathroom for the master and a tub with shower in the other. Both of these bedrooms were big enough to be a master. The 3rd had twin beds and shared the 2nd bathroom. The balcony had a small table and 2 chairs, not massive, but you could eat breakfast there on a morning.

I would definitely stay in one again. Please ask if I haven't mentioned anything you would like to know. We didn't have a firework view, not sure how much you would really see:)

We have stayed in a 3 bedroom condo (two different condos) in Windsor Hills twice. Both times we were on the 2nd floor so only used the elevator when we had our luggage but we never waited for them. We were always able to park directly in front of the entrance. Even though we were on the second floor we never heard anyone else. We did not have a fireworks view so cannot answer that.

We have stayed in the condo buildings 6-7 times. Parking was never an issue. Sometimes if returning late at night you might have to park a few spots away from your building but nothing crazy.

We often used the stairs even when on the top floor but did use the elevator a few times and never had to wait a long time.

We were never able to see the fireworks. I can't imagine it would be worth paying extra for that if you plan to see them in the park. WH is really close to the parks but for firework purposes a bit too far for me.

We also liked when we would be on the top floor. When on a lower floor sometimes we had decent upstairs neighbors but a few times we had herds of elephants up there.

Have a great trip!

Did a google search and found this high level summary of differences:

We stayed at a firework view condo through vacation central Florida last month. I think it is the only one they offer.

It was, by far, the best vacation choice we have made so far... and we have stayed at All Stars Movies X2, POR, and Residence Inn SeaWorld. Never waited for an elevator, always quiet, we had a lot of luggage and managed easily without a luggage rack. The firework view... wasn't great but was a nice extra.

Thanks for the review. I do believe that there is only one offerred. My biggest reservation is that the master bed in that condo is only a queen size and we currently cosleep with our toddler and while he may be out of our bed by next year he may not. If it were a king sized bed I would go for it in a heartbeat. I am wondering if the fireworks views are worth working around a non-optimal bed situation (and I know that we are the only ones who can decide this). My son has SPD and cannot handle loud noises, so likely seeing fireworks from the condo would be the only way we would be able to watch them. Thankfully there is lots of time to make a decision.

We too stayed at Fireworks View 402 w/ Vacation Central Florida.

It was our first trip staying off site with kids and would do it again.

The condo-

- SO, so clean. The reason why when we rent again it will be with Dave.
-Fireworks view was OK. Honestly, we were usually out at one of the parks when they were happening. And, if we were back at the condo, we were too exhausted to care.
-Never waited for elevator.
-Never heard anyone. In fact, barely saw anyone.
-Pretty far away from main pool. With 2 little one's we ended up driving there when we did use it.
- Great communication with Dave...but you already knew that!
-Thermostat was set to not go below a certain temp (with a warning not to do so b/c of freezing the unit). If given the choice, we would have kept the condo cooler.
-Next time would try and get a unit with a King Master as my little guy decided that the change of environment was too much for him and decided to sleep with us instead!
-Internet was seamless!
-Parking was never an issue. All but once we were parked right in front of our unit. In fact, right in front of the entrance to our unit.

Fireworks 402 is one of the last units, so it seemed to not be quite as busy as some of the others. For us, with little one's, it was perfect. If we go the condo route again we will more than likely book this same one.

We are looking into doing a townhouse this trip mostly because of the pool issue. Can I ask why you are going back to a condo???

Thanks for the review. It is always nice to hear from others that have stayed some place.

Our reason for considering a condo was that we do not need all of the space in a townhouse as there is only 3 of us and we will likely only use one bedroom. Also, I do enjoy having everything on one level. I was a bit nervous with DS having access to the stairs.

We used the pool once, but in general we were too tired to want to use it or if we were not too tired then we were headed back to the parks. The current in the townhouse pool was fairly strong and DS didn't stay upright easily even with his Puddle Jumper on. In other pools that don't have a strong current we are able to let him float around a bit on his own, but we could not do that in this pool. We never went to the community pool, nor did we ever really want to.

A big reason for considering a condo over a townhouse is the cost. DS will need a ticket the next time we go and that will add $300 to our budget, so cutting the budget on the accomondations would help even this out. The only thing that I can see us missing with a condo over the townhouse is parking right outside of our door, but the savings may make it worth it to us.

We loved our WH condo. It was easy for parking, elevator, we could see the fireworks, but im wouldn't have paid extra for that perk.

The 3 bedroom we stayed in had a king in the master.
It was amazing if you want the information, the owner was amazing to deal with.
We just booked it for a second time.

I've used these folks, http://www.5mins2disney.com/
Stayed there in 2010 and in 25 days going again! Can't wait, George the owner is fantastic! Very helpful, cleans homes, great prices. Hope it helps!

Thank you! I've checked out their website before. I'm really looking for a condo instead of a townhome just because I'd like us all on the same floor.

Keep the suggestions coming! :)

We stayed here last month:http://www.vrbo.com/43695
It's nothing fancy but we loved it.Lots of room and only a short walk to the main pool.It was reasonably priced too.The owner was great to work with.

Thank you for the recommendation. They don't have our dates open, though.

I wound up booking Mickey's Hideaway. Jennifer has been great to work with so far and we're really looking forward to staying there. I'll post my thoughts after we get back.
