Windsor Hills, alternate entrance?

Hi,
We havent stayed at Windsor Hills in a few years, and will be staying again next summer. When we were there a few years ago, they were still building some new phases at the backside of the resort. I am just wondering if they have any of the alternate entrances open yet. I think they had at least 1 that exited onto Livingston road that was gated closed ??? Did they open it yet? It sure would be easier to get in and out with more than 1 entrance. I remember quite a bit of traffic in and out of Windsor Hills the last time we stayed. Cant imagine its any better with MORE homes built now. I am guessing its just an emergency exit ?

One of the years we stayed we used the Livingstone Rd entrance because the home we had was on that end but they closed it after that and last I heard only owners could use it. I thought it was very handy when you staying on that end of WH.

Last summer, they were doing major work on Old Lake Wilson Road, and the Livingston entrance with the guard shack (at Archfeld Blvd) was the only way in and out of the complex. Don't know if that's still the case. The unmanned gate at Manesty and Livingston was always locked as far as we could see.

I think I read that it is again just the main entrance. Also, the HOA website for WH indicates the repaving project is/has started so some roads/parking may be affected within WH.

I guess I found the answer...........from the 'Windsor Hills Master FAQ".

Rear Gate
Q: I have seen some cars entering the resort through the rear (Livingston Road) gate. Can we use that gate?
A: No. the rear gate is for the owners of homes and certain authorized companies only. They have a special smart card that operates the gate.

Too bad, with that many homes, townhomes, and condo's now built at WH, a second entrance would prob. be a good Idea.
