Windows XP service pack update question

Does anyone have any knowledge about the new Security center for the Service Pack 2 update? I have turned the Firewall off because I have used Norton Internet Security for some time. I am very happy with it. Is the XP one better? I am due for a new update on Norton and am wondering if I should trust the one for XP.

Any other suggetstions would be helpful.

The SP2 update is primarily, not entirely, but primarily for those Windows users who fail to compute safely. That is, lack of anti-virus protection, spyware protection, firewalls, poor email and surfing habits. Virtually any paid for service will be better than the MS one, but the MS one is better than none. I would take a look at the Norton site and see what they have to say addressing the issue. I know they have as I have read it there, as well as all the other component sites I use. I have the update CD here on the desk but am holding off for about another month to install it, but I will install it.
