Windows Service Pack 2

Has anyone installed this much talked about update yet for Windows XP?

I have heard that has caused problems with some applications.

There's quite a long list of things this service pack might foul up so I changed my automatic update settings to manual.
I don't want to update until they have more of the bugs worked out. Can't figure out for the life of me why they'd put this out with so many possible problems.

Good luck if you decide to update with this service pack. I'd love to hear how it went and if it did affect anything on your computer.

I've read several reviews, most said yes it has problems but should download and install it anyway because of the security features it offers.

hmmm will wait a few more days

too buggy. I haven't installed it at home and we're still waiting for our network services people to test it and ok it before we'll put it on our PCs at work. When they say it's ok, then I'll think about putting it on at home.

Recommendations seem to be to hold off for a time till the post release minor bugs are worked out, always the situation with any major sw release.

I haven't heard of bugs in the patch, but it closes a potential security hole that many legitimate programs use for expediency.
