We have a bay window with a center large pane and two windows that open on either side. Right now I have vertical blinds which should have been retired ages ago. I want to change the treatment so I can still darken the room for the computer, etc. It is also a window behind a desk so its not real easy to get to, in terms of having drapes, etc. I am considering mini blinds rather than pleated shades and a valance. Any ideas? Would I mount 3 separate mini blinds sets? Help!!

I have individual shade things on my windows and then I found a corner connector for a curtain rod and have a custom valance above that.

I found these at Swags Galore on the internet:

They work with a regular curtain rod, just insert at the end and the hinge will open however far you need. Let me take a picture of mine and I'll post it.

I don't get it. Would you post a picture? What do you think of wooden type blinds for a bay window?

Here is a full view, it is dark because the sun comes in that window in the morning. You can see the shades down, which I never have down but you get the idea.

Here is a closer shot so you can see where the joiners bend so the valance comes all the way around the bay.

The shades were here when we moved in. I would prefer if these were wood blinds actually.

It looks great. Thanks,
