My apologies if I missed this information in another thread...Any pointers on the best strategy for getting a window table at Cinderella's Castle? This will be our third time to eat there and we have never been able to get a coveted window seat.princess:

Thanks!!

Lissa

If you have the earliest ADRs then you have a better chance. I think we had a 12:15 last year, lunch service starts at 12:00, and they had already seated all the window tables. After the earliest seatings, it's a matter of when groups finish their meals.

For our honeymoon they gave us the middle window table. It was perfect with an amazing view of the carousel. I think they might reserve them for reservations with special occasions on them.
Maybe there is a special occasion you might be celebrating like an anniversary or birthday? Make sure they put it on your reservation.

Really...coveted? Enjoy your vacation and don't worry about it. We sat next to the window their nothing special, unless sitting next to walls covered with a film of residue from meals past is of interest.

WOW! :confused3 To be honest, me and my wife ate at the window view table and looked out the window and loved the view. To us it was something special. We apologize for not noticing what the walls looked like but we were busy enjoying ourselves and the beautiful view that we were lucky enough to get.

We were lucky enough to get a middle window table once for breakfast. We didn't request it or anything, but we were THRILLED! It was a beautiful view and I agree that it does add magic to the whole experience. I hope you can get a window table. Best of luck!

Have two people; I don't know if that will actually help, but every time I've eaten there as a party of two I've always been seated at the window. When I've eaten there as a party of three or four I've always been seated in no mans land, that was even before the princesses had invaded and it was much less crowded in the castle. It's an OK view, but I wouldn't wait an extra hour for it or anything. I know, that's easy for me to say because I've already had it.

My suggestion would be to get there early and specifically ask for a window seat.

We've sat by the windows several times. My recommendations:

1 - have an ADR for the first seating of that meal
2 - request one when you check in at the podium -- it might help
3 - if you really really want one, tell them you'll wait longer to get that table, but then you have to be willing to wait.

Honestly, while sitting next to the window is really nice, I think anywhere in there is nice. The windows are not so easy to see through, because of the castley-leaded-glass. And I think you get more "theming" by looking inside the restaurant itself.

Have a fantastic time -- and I hope you get the table you long for!

We got that table for lunch when it was my birthday a few years ago. Very special view and it is a great table. We will be down in November for our Disney wedding and hope to get the same table for our honeymoon for dinner to watch Wishes.

We are a family of 3, and just sat next to the window, a couple of weeks ago, it was nice. We didn't ask, and it was around 12:30pm (we went for lunch). It was a great lunch!!

I've only eaten there as a solo, twice. Each time I was put near a window. I suppose they do this so as to make a solo diner comfortable and because some of the tables near the window are meant for at least two diners. So like someone posted earlier, go with one other person or go solo to have a better chance of getting a seat near the window.

We had a window seat 2 years ago when it was my DD's 13th birthday...we didn't request it, but maybe we got it because we said it was her birthday when making the ADR (which I did the night before we went, btw, no advance plan, she decided at the last minute she wanted to do that and I lucked out)...they put pretty streamers & confetti on the table, too. We did go for lunch and it was a 12:05 ADR, so maybe that, too? The windows are thick, leaded glass like another poster said, but YOWZA! I still was like "oh, momma!" as we were led to the window table. It was a great experience...seeing the park and the princesses. The food was just OK (I actually liked that blueberry buckle dessert quite a bit and the tiny appetizer plate was cute) but the waiter, the view, the princesses (especially Wendy, who is not a Princess but was very sweet) all were AWESOME. I paid out of pocket even though we had the DDP and it was worth every penny for the thrill of it!princess:

We were lucky enough to have a window table at dinner. We got to see Captain Hook run by on the outside of the castle!
