Window seats at La Hacienda for Iluminations

Anyone have the magic words or tips on getting a window seat at La hacienda for Illuminations. We have a ADR for 8:15pm with daughter and fiancé who just got engaged and both celebrating their birthdays.

It would probably just be a matter of availability. I went to California Grill 4 times before finally lucking out and getting a window seat - and that was only because we got there right when they opened at 5pm...Good Luck

You can ask when you check in for your reservation, but there are no guarantees. In fact La Hacienda is a restaurant where others have posted that often the hostess at the podium said they were not taking requests so you would have to take the next available table for your party size. Also, if you are going when IllumiNations is at 9 PM it will be even more difficult since most who have a window table with a good view will stay until after the fireworks.

You may want to try to get an earlier reservation, then let the hostess know you are willing to wait for a window table.

There are very few tables with amazing views of Illuminations, some with partially blocked views and several with no view at all. Beware there are even some window tables that look in the wrong direction and have no view. Everyone asks for window view tables. It is the luck of the draw. There aren't any secret tips. And I think 8:15 is too late for any chance.

You may want to try to get an earlier reservation, then let the hostess know you are willing to wait for a window table.

La Hacienda no longer allows guests to wait for a table with a view. And even so both times I have had dinner there I have had a bit of a wait to be seated.
