Window above kitchen sink

There is a valance on the window at the top. Along the top of my cabinets is a soffitt which has a sort of curly trim piece that runs across the space between the 2 cabinets on either side of the kitchen sink. There is a recessed light in the underside of the soffitt.

We have a three window bay window thing with a tiled ledge over our sink. It's framed and molded in but I want something above it too. I have recessed lighting about it already on a dimmer so I am thinking a valance. It only has cabinets on one side though so it's a little awkward to hang something there.

There is an architectural piece between the two cabinets that matches the cabinets and the bed molding from the cabinets. The top is open, so the recessed light above will shine down. The window has a topper that matches the dinette topper There is also an accordian blind. When pulled up it is completely behind the the topper. We have a beautiful view from our back window. The window is also framed like the rest of the windows in our home.

I have a pendant light hanging there, it's similar to the one you posted, with 2 matching lights above the kitchen island.

For a window treatment I have a simple off white linen valance on a matching curtain rod.

If I were to put a window above my sink, I'd be able to watch my neighbor cook! hahaha
We have cabinets and one of them under-cabinet radio/CD players above my sink.

I don't have a window treatment. We have very decorative trim on the window that I did not want to cover up. I have roman shades on all my other windows. Over the kitchen window we have a black, wrought iron scroll piece.

I have no curtains or valances anywhere in my house. Window shades in the bedrooms in case you want dark but that is about it. My window over the kitchen sink has oak molding like all of the other windows. There is about 8 inces of space between the window molding and the ceiling. I have four plates hanging there. They look pretty nice and are less fussy than a valance.

I have a board that stretches between the cabinets - same color as the cabinets - sorry not sure what it's called, but I'm sure it has a name. I also have a light that hangs behind that. And behind that is a curtain. I also have shelves on the sides that I put things on. Just little rounded corner shelves. I didn't design this kitchen, that's the way it was and I work with it. I have to admit the switch on the light broke and I was without it for a week and man oh man did I miss having that extra light when I was doing the dishes.
