So you have just come into a ton of money. Lets call a ton more than $10,000,000. Perhaps you won the lottery or got an inheritance or maybe sold your company to the mouse. Now I know most of you already have plans for just such an occurrence. So my questions are as follows.
What RV are you buying? Why?
When are you going to the fort? Maybe Crowds, weather, parties need to be considered.
Lastly how long are you staying?
Just a fun topic heading into this weekend.

If I had 10m....Id definately find out how to rent the guest quarter in Cindy's Castle...I wouldnt mind taking a break from the RV world for that. Next...Id rent an entire loop at the fort, and invite all of the Fort Fiends for a couple of weeks of debauchery and fun. I wouldnt get THE BEST rv available, but I WOULD spare no expense on the KEG COOLER id have installed into my otherwise average, indistinguishable motorhome. And Id buy new socks.

And your disname is pretty cool...BIG PAUL backwards!

I'd do the same thing with that big fortune as I'm doing with my small fortune now... buy Toyota stock! It'll never be cheaper, and you know it's going to come back. Then I'd live off of the dividends, buy a sweet moho and dinghy (thinking Newell with a Masserati in a trailer!) and be one of those year-round residents at the Fort. Oh, and I'd have the awesomest computerized Christmas light display ever seen outside of DHS!

1. Prevost Diesel pusher, as big as I could get, and would have to get a custom floorplan w/ bunks for the kids.
2. I would live at the fort October-> March and then head North when it gets hot and wait out the hurricanes up here.
3. I would try to get a job as a CM while at the fort; crew member on a boat on Bay Lake would be my first choice but I would do just about anything.

First I’d pay off all my bills and sell my house. I’d give some money to relatives I knew were having as hard a time as we are (well before my big windfall). I’d by the car I want and not the one that I can afford used and I know DH would get a new Corvette and not a good used one. Once that is done a really nice RV, not too big, maybe 36’ with 3 slides would be nice. Half the year would be spent at FW and the other half in the mountains and traveling the country. I’d also buy some friends of ours an RV because they used to have one and now they don’t. They both work really hard and they would love to travel. We would then all have a group of RV friends who could travel together. In the real world as it is today, I’m not sure I’d have enough after taxes to do anything like that, but it is a sweet thought.

Buying an Open Range Residential 5th Wheel, a crew cab truck to pull it and an enclosed trailer to tow behind that holds the sweet convertible and golf cart and hittin' the road with DH and the pups! :dance3:

We'll see y'all every year at the Fort from October to March. ;)

My DH and I go through our spending scenario every time the lottery jackpots climb high, but we quickly come back down to earth when we don't win a dime :rotfl:. Anyway, not sure what RV we would purchase but we would definitely spend at least half a year at Disney and then travel for the other half (from one loop to the other!:rotfl2:).

after I've been generous with family and friends...

I'm buying a custom diesel with triple bunks and individual entertainment systems (so the kids won't fight) for lonnnnnnnnng road trips with the family.

and

I'm buying a Victory Lane 5th wheel for the lonnnnnnng stays with the family.

A custom F550 to haul it with.

(oh, of course, a kegerator for both ;))

We'll be headed to the Fort for Halloween through Thanksgiving and then again for the last two weeks of Feb and the first week of March.

ahhhhh, a girl can dream can't she?

I think with that kind of money, I'd go for the biggest diesel pusher custom job I could get and then hire a chauffeur to drive it--like the rock stars :goodvibes

I'd buy Discovery Island , build a sweet little place on it and live out the rest of our days there, all the fiends could come for a visit,,would sure make grand gatherings fun, :thumbsup2

I'd drive right to the shop...tell my husband to get in the truck, drive away, and don't look back. He's done workin his a$$ off. :cool2:

I'd give a percentage to my church. Hey..I figure if I'm ever blessed enough to win a 10 million dollar windfall..God will surely have played a HUGE part in it!

I'd pay off our bills..and our home. I don't know if I'd sell it or give it to one of my kids. Of course, I'd provide for their futures.
I'd take care of my sister, mom, and my mother inlaw.
I'd pay for the best Dr.'s available to help my cousin with her husband who is in a coma.

Mostly..if I ever were so fortunate as to come into a good amount of money like that, I'd want to do right by every person who was ever hurt either financially or emotionally by my dad's stroke and subsequent death. I know he'd want for me to do that.

Then, I'd go buy us some type of Class A motorhome. :drive: I don't know enough about them to say which one. Half the fun of that would be finding the right one. :thumbsup2 I'd also buy a really good blender. Bob and I would take them both to the Florida Keys... sit back in some comfortable chairs under a tiki hut, and watch the sunset every evening... with a Pina Coloda in my hand. ( Hey..that's what the blender is for after all!)

We wouldn't get a new RV; we're perfectly happy with what we have. I'd definitely pick up a golf cart to bring along, though.

Our next visit to the Fort would probably be next Thanksgiving for a week, followed by Christmas for two weeks, and then spring break 2011 for a week. Unfortunately, the school calendar is our limiting factor, and $10 million doesn't change that. In our non-fantasy world, we'd probably choose one or the other of Thanksgiving and Christmas instead of both.

Hire a private tutor and home school at the FORT!! What a classroom.:thumbsup2

I don't know what RV I'd buy for DH & I, but I can tell you that I'd buy each of our kids a teardrop or small pop-up so they don't have to bunk in my RV (they never wipe their feet or make their beds). I'd also buy a TT for my sister so she doesn't have to share with her kids either. I'd spend 1/4 of the year at FW, 1/4 at other Disney resorts, 1/4 on cruises, and 1/4 touring the country. DH could stop working so much (he's already said he'd work one week a month to keep work benefits). And I'd throw a HUGE party for the July 4th & Halloween Fiends gatherings.

Okay,,,new game plan for my 10 mill,,,,
I'd add on a room to our TT and then permanently go fishing.

DH would buy his dream MH and we'd retire to FTW. :thumbsup2 We'd buy a separate MH for the site next to us for all the family we'd inherit:yay:

Got a question? Is this $10M net, or $10M gross??

If $10M gross, then you know you only take home about $2.5M

(Most lottery's payout is in an annuity. Only idiots take the annuity, so then you only get half, then Uncle Sam gets another half, so you really only get about 25% of what the payout is).

So having said that $10M net, we would upgrade to a big 5th wheel toy hauler and the appropriate Super Duty to pull it, and pay off the house, quit the job, and go have fun!!

If it is $10M gross, then $2.5M would pay off the house, travel a little more than we do now with the house payment, and would have to put the rest away and just keep working just like now just to make sure we have a retirement, cause SS AIN'T gonna be there!!!

Pay off bills, buy a new Prevost, and make reservations for Nov-April at the fort! I can live with 2.5M.

I would be leaving the lottery office or the lawyers, and after I got in my vehicle, I would hear the radio turn on and suddenly that loud annoying noise BBBEEEPPP BBEEPP BEEP would sound and the announcer voice would say " Attention Attention, this is not a test...... followed by by a bright flash. :lmao:

Actually I would get a nice class A and toad, and travel the USA.....
