I have not watched a single episode so I have no dog in this fight. However, I hear people saying the show has no chance to survive without it's tiger-blooded star. I personally think just about anyone is replaceable. But let's find out what you guys think.

Now Jenn, you've known me long enough to know with a poll I'm always the "other".
As much as ole Charlie annoys me, I thought he was hysterical on the show, so I can't see who could step it. Generally once a shows inital chemistry goes, it's only a matter of time until "cancelville".

I'll give it a try to see if they replace Mccrazy but I think you can stick a fork in it, it's done.

I used to watch the show and like it but lately I think it's been so tasteless and vulgar. I'm no prude but I think they just go for the cheap laughs now. I would probably watch it without him just to hike the ratings up and tick off Mr Tigerblood.

I love this show, but the supporting characters are what makes it for me. Berta is my favorite.

I can see them easily replacing Charlie. Just have all of the other characters act like normal and any reference to Charlie will include some joke about him still being drunk/hungover in bed. Problem solved!

My son and his friends are BIG fans. In fact for Christmas last year he asked for all 7 seasons.

He got me hooked on it, too. I actually like the Mom, Rose, Judy and her husband more than Alan OR Charlie. The show could survive without him. The writing is what makes him, not just one actor. Unfortunately the writing went DOWNhill for season 8, maybe now it will get better.

It's positively hilarious and will be nothing without Charlie.

He's the most outrageous un-PC man pig you could imagine. It's almost like, well, Charlie Sheen's real life!

OMG. O.M.G!!!! I hadn't even thought of MJF but he would be so awesome. It makes me so sad that his health prevents him from working now Or, at least, the majority of the time. I had heard he tried to do a cameo but ended up having to back out.

Now him AND Charlie Sheen? Oh! They need to get rid of Alan and bring MJF in as a just discovered brother for Charlie! Don't get me wrong - I totally identify with Alan and love him but Charlie, Berta, and the kid were the show. Rose and Alan were great supporting roles and the mom was funny but I could take her or leave her.

IMO, the writing is 1/4 of the show - what the actors DO with it is the other 3/4. And no one can DO like Charlie Sheen.

I don't see Charlie Sheen being willing to share the spotlight. He already disses everyone he works with now.

The show was always a little too over the top for me, especially when Angus' character was younger. While I wasn't a big fan of the show, it's sad for the other cast members and crew. The crew may be able to find other work but boy, once you've been so identified with a specific role, it's hard to transition into another.

I never understood why people loved this show so much...it was one of those things that I'd only watch if nothing else was on.

If we want to talk about the star of a show leaving as depressing...let's talk about The Office.

I enjoyed the show for a long time but lately the joke is getting old. That said, I don't think there is a show without Charlie. IMO it's like Roseane leaving Roseane - it just won't work.
