My cousin and her family just got back from WDW on Thursday. She's been there before, but in 2000. It was herself, husband, 13 year old daughter and 11 year old daughter.
She told me that she sat on the curb in Liberty Square 60 minutes before Spectromagic started. She brought a beach towel to sit on.
About 10 minutes before the parade a family with 3 kids asked my cousin if her family could MOVE so their kids could see the parade. My cousin said no. The mom was irate and told my cousin her family was taking up space that belonged to a child. Disney was for kids under 8.. blah, blah, blah. She then told her kids to STAND in front of my cousin and family. A CM came over and told the 3 kids they couldn't stand on the street. The mom then tried to tell the CM that my cousin and her family stole their parade spot.
All and all the other family took off after the mom went on for over a minute yapping her mouth, but my cousin thought it was strange. Of all the spaces along the parade route she couldn't figure out why this mom chose her to make a fuss with especially since it was completely packed for parade viewing. My cousin said there were 2 rows of people standing behind her to see the parade, too.
My cousin said it was crowded at WDW, hot, very humid, but a TON of fun. She stayed at Caribbean Beach, and it was so nice.
