I was on the D23 website early last month and it said that you could buy the magazine threw the website or at a Barnes & Noble's bookstore: has anyone bought the magazine at Barnes & Noble's? ;)

I bought the first issue from my local B&N on the day it came out. They had them set up in a special stand, by the magazine section. I'm waiting until next issue to join D23 so hopefully I won't get the first magazine as one of my 4 issues.

To me, the cost of the magazine is justified based on the quality magazine. That makes the D23 membership make sense for me, because it's only a bit more than the actual cost of 4 magazines. But then again, my dad gets a miniature scale model magazine once a month that costs $15 per issue, so I'm used to that price range for more "special" magazines.

Wow sounds like it was easy and cool purchasing your issue of D23 from that special stand! :wizard: I agree fifteen dollars for a great magazine is totally worth the price! I hope the next issue is extra interesting to you SorcererDonald!!! Thank you for telling me about your experience matey :) : I will be looking for an issue next time we go Barnes & Nobles!

Disney Shopping just changed the SOLD OUT on Tink and Jiminy Cricket pins to TEMPORARILY Sold Out...SO, dont pay OUTRAGEOUS ebay prices...Me thinks enough members complained, and they are gonna make more for members......

This may sound nuts, but although I am an avid fan of WDW/Disboards, I am not necessarily obsessed with all things Disney.:rolleyes1 So therefore, I am not signing up for D23, no offense anyone.:flower3:

Has anyone received the on-line survey for D23 members? Lots of questions regarding your favoriate theme park, disney movie, which theme park you'd like to live in, etc.

I took it,too. And in the comments section at the end, I wrote that I'm still angry that they oversold the launch day t-shirt.

I joined as soon as it was offered. Although I agree the price is a bit high for what you get at this point. I am hoping that something will be added moving forward. Special discounts for members? Unique events maybe? Who knows. For now, I'm happy with the poster I received and enjoy the magazine.

Finally we went to Barnes & Nobel's yesterday; I saw the issure of D23 like a mile a way because it's so big; I love those big pages! ;)
I read the entire magazine in about 3 hours (that inculded re-read about the castle suites, PHOTOfiles, funny page, & my other favorites). Anywho I love the magazine; except a few pages like that recipe (I can't cook).
There were lots of unexpected articles; I will definitely purchase the next issue: I am a D23 fan indeedey!!!!! :earsgirl:

I wouldn't get my hopes to high that they will add benefits as time passes. Every other program that had that I can think of has lost features as time passed, not gained them.

I just joined D23. Sounds like the magazine is well done & I can't wait to receive it.:)
