Will you be doing Candlelight Processional Ressies this year?

Are you planning to get a Candleight Processional Ressie this year?

  • YES! I don't care what it costs, it is worth it!

  • I WAS - but with the new information, now we are not.

  • We are now "on the fence" and may not do it with the changes.

  • No, we were never planning on getting tickets.

We were planning on it...but now we aren't...since it is going to cost so much money/credits.

We weren't interested in seeing Illuminations that night (wanted to do Osbourne lights instead).

I wonder if we are alone in this decision?

What are you planning on doing?

What new information are you referring to in your poll? Did I miss something?

It is from another thread...

let me copy it over here...

here ya go....

I am a TA and i just talked to my regional sales manager at Disney. He looked into the details for me and there are a few changes to the package this year. SO the big changes are in summary its now 2 TS, set menus, and you get a special viewing area for illuminations. See his email below.

He couldn’t send all of the menus but sent just this one as an FYI. It’s a set menu this year and is 2 Table credits. New for this year will also be included a special (standing) viewing area for the Illuminations fireworks display on that night, the location will be stated when the guest checks in at the restaurant for the meal that day. There are several options and they are not requestable.

It is a set menu, not based on whether the guest has a Dine or Deluxe Dining plan, still two Table Service entitlements and the menus vary, for instance Le Cellier has a Salad and Appetizer.

LeCellier Children's Menu -$17.03
Entrée
Pasta with Tomato Sauce
All children's meals are served with a complimentary fountain beverage., Child's Portion Available
Hot Dog
Served with your choice of Fries or Corn. All children's meals are served with a complimentary fountain beverage., Child's Portion Available

LeCellier Dinner Menu -$63.89

Appetizer
Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup
Made with Moosehead Beer and Smoke Bacon, Signature Item

Salad
Steakhouse Caesar
Baby Romaine Lettuce, Sourdough Croutons, and a Creamy Caesar Dressing

Entrée
Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon
Signature Item
Seared King Salmon
served over Sweet Maple Corn Cake with Candied Walnuts and Maple-Ginger Glaze

Dessert
Crème Brûlée Sampler
Chocolate "Moose"
Chocolate Mousse rolled in Toasted Chocolate Crumbs with Maple Leaf Antlers

This is from THIS thread.

The OOP prices have not been released, but on the DDP it will cost you 2 TS credits rather than 1 as it was in the past.

I will NOT be doing CP this year. 2TS with a fixed menu is insane when I can eat anything on the menu for 1TS. We don't think the show is that great anyway!

Holy crapamoley!! I planned to do it as always. I don't have the dining plan, but I just wanted to eat off the menu. I have a 12yo and I think that $64 for each of us is too much. Not to mention I'm ok with an appetizer as a meal and no desset. She would eat a bigger meal, but based on the above menu soup, salad, meal, dessert even she would be stuffed and she's an athlete. I'd be fine with soup and bread. by the time we ate and did tip it would be over $160 without any drinks. Crazy!:scared1:

We will be doing it since we are on DXDDP and won't miss the credits. I would like to know I have guaranteed seats at the shows, and want an appetizer, so it makes sense.

However, even though Le Cellier's supposed set menu is what we would have ordered, I agree with everyone who says a set menu at any cost is insane.

As yet, I haven't seen any official word on this one way or another. I'm going to hold out on deciding to what to do. There is no way I would use 2 TS credits if that scenario is correct though.:scared1:

We'll be going again(over 10 years straight). It makes going done for Christmas complete.

We're going to do it regardless. We're on the Deluxe DDP so it won't impact us as much. I'm not much of a View fan, but my Mother has informed me if we do not see Whoopie do the CP then she will not forgive us. :lmao:

There is nothing official from Disney yet, so I don't think that there is any reason to panic though.

Subscribing....Candlelight has become part of our Christmas. I have two concerns, one being the cost, as everything is increasing but the other is a fixed menu. This is very difficult for those with dietary restrictions. I love Le Celliur, but do not eat meat....I can easily order off the menu, but not what was posted....Let's see what happens.

Was going to...But Disney can now Shove it. It is not worth 2 TS credits for a 1 credit TS meal and a FIXED menu, and not worth the COST oop.I could care less about Illuminations either.I was not really stoked about the narrators on my visit ( Vanessa Williams or Abigial Breslin) So this cemented the deal for me.I will use the credits elsewhere on a 2 TS meal that is worth it.I am definitely going to be sending a letter voicing my displeasure on this one. With the cost of everything thru the roof, the economy doing poorly, and Disney giving discounts out the whazoo, I am kind of shocked at this move.

We won't be doing it if it is 2 TS credits, still waiting for the "official" word. The set menu was around last time we did CP like 6 or 7 years ago. I remember them bringing out a menu at Nine Dragons for the CP package guests. It had like 3 entrees to choose from plus app. and dessert.

This has become a yearly tradition, but we will not be using 2 TS for a 1 TS restaurant nor will we be paying the high OOP price. Unless, we stand in what promises to be even a longer line for the show w/o dinner, our tradition has come to an end.l

We were going to, but I can't see using 2 credits when I can eat at the same place for 1 credit any other time! We'll just plan on standing in line...it's just DS and I for that trip, so we can "tough it out"...Bummer though, we were looking forward to it.

For 2 TS credits! Sorry, no way! We'll either stand in line, stand and watch it from the back, or skip it.

To us it all depends who the guest star is.. if it is someone we like, we would go.

Sigh... I'm not happy with this new development, but I still love CP! I think it's terrible that Disney is doing this. But I still want to watch it up close. So, after much thought, we are still gonna do it for 2 TS credits each.

We're on the fence. We've booked the DDP for our December DVC stay, as we always do. If we can get Le Cellier, we'll probably still do the package, if not, then we'll probably won't.

The CP is the principle reason we go to Disney during December. We can see other wonderful Christmastime shows closer to home, but we go because we love the CP.

Bobbi:goodvibes

I've gone at the beginning of December many times and never had problems getting a standby seat, will continue that this year. I stopped getting the package when they took away the shopping discount.

Alot of locals come to Epcot for the package, they would lose alot of money if all the packages were snapped up for 1 credit on the dining plan, especially with all the free diners coming. I think the choice was increase it to 2 to discourage people on the dining plan or just not make it available at all on the dining plan.
